18 Celebrity Father-Son Duos Who Look Exactly Alike: See the Photos

For these fathers and sons, the apple really doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Many children of famous dads follow in their footsteps, but these father/son duos are so similar, they could be mistaken for one another. Some even embrace the physical similarity: Like O’Shea Jackson portraying a younger version of his father, Ice Cube, in Straight Outta Compton (2015), or Dan Levy playing Eugene Levy’s son on Schitt’s Creek. Whether they lean into it or not, these relatives share some powerful family genes.

As we celebrate Father’s Day, spot all the similarities between these famous family members.

Colin Hanks knows he’s the spitting image of his two-time Oscar-winning father. Having long “lost track” of the look-alike comparisons, the actor — who once portrayed Mister Rogers on Drunk History before Tom Hanks did in the 2019 biopic — spoke to Dax Shepard in a 2018 episode of Armchair Expert about carving out his Hollywood career outside his family ties to a film icon

“When I was starting off, I was sort of lovingly naive, thinking that [being Tom Hanks’ son] wasn’t as big a deal as it is, that I would get the benefit of the doubt; that I was my own person. And that doesn’t happen,” he said.

The father-son pairing have shared the screen twice — first in That Thing You Do! (which Tom wrote and directed in 1996) and later inThe Great Buck Howard (2008).

Eugene Levy and Dan Levy

Dan Levy and Eugene Levy attend the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards in L.A. on Sept. 15, 2024

From the signature eyebrows and oversized black glasses to their witty sense of humor, Eugene and Dan Levy are total dead ringers for each other. But long before they played father and son on Schitt’s Creek — a show they co-created and co-produced — they’ve been naturally twinning since the ’80s, though Dan insists Eugene stole his signature hairstyle.

“He has since had like a full-body makeover on [Schitt’s Creek]. When he came in to do our show, he sat down and the hair and makeup team sort of did this coif … and he really responded to it, and now wears that every day,” he said during a 2019 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “What he didn’t necessarily realize is that it was my haircut at the time, so now we sort of have a very similar haircut … I remember thinking like, ‘Oh you just — that’s my hair. I guess you can have it.’ ”

Since their Schitt’s Creek days, the duo has continued working together, co-writing the 2021 book Best Wishes, Warmest Regards: The Story of Schitt’s Creek and becoming the first-ever father-son duo to co-host the Emmys in 2024.

When Rafferty Law appeared in Apple TV+’s Masters of the Air, viewers couldn’t help but notice how much he resembled his father, Jude Law — particularly in his breakout role in The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999).

In his 2021 interview with GQ Hype, Raff opened up about the constant comparisons. “I find it quite funny, because obviously we’re going to look quite similar — he’s my dad,” he said. “It’s nice because we do have similarities and we are so close. So, now that I’m older, he can help me work on scripts, and I can send him my music and he can say, ‘Yeah, that’s great.’ He’s just happy to see me becoming a young man that he’s proud to call his son.”

Fun fact: Rafferty made his on-screen debut in Repo Men (2010), where he played a younger version of his dad’s character, Remy.

Dennis Quaid and Jack Quaid

Jack Quaid and Dennis Quaid attend the Golden Globes afterparty in Beverly Hills on Jan. 7, 2024

Jack Quaid has often been likened to both of his famous parents, Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan. “People think I’m a solid half and half, I think. Some people see Mom, some people see Dad. It’s kind of like an optical illusion,” he told USA Today in 2019.

However, the resemblance between Jack and Dennis is undeniable, yet the young actor — who has starred in projects like The Hunger Games (2012), The Boys, Companion (2025) and Novocaine (2025), among other titles — didn’t lean on his dad’s connections when establishing his career.

“I mean he’s right on track. He’s way past me at that age,” Dennis told ET in 2024. “I’m really so proud of him and he’s making great choices. … He’s done it his way and his own way. I offered to help get him an agent at first and he said, ‘No, Dad, I’m doing it on my own.’ ”

Dennis continued, “And then he got all these jobs from all these directors and I say, ‘How bout a little help over here?’ I don’t mind the nepo thing myself, okay? Reverse nepo, I’ll take it!”

Sam — Bruce Springsteen’s youngest child, who works as a firefighter in New Jersey — looks just like his rocker dad (how many times a week do you think he gets an “I’m on Fire” joke?).

“It was a long road, he was very dedicated for quite a few years and we are just excited for him,” Bruce told CBS New York of his son in 2020.

Rob Lowe and John Owen Lowe

John Owen Lowe and Rob Lowe attend the Netflix Unstable S1 premiere at Netflix Tudum Theater on March 23, 2023

Rob Lowe’s biggest internet troll is also his doppelgänger and lastborn son, John Owen. The 29-year-old gets a kick out of making fun of his dad’s fame, particularly his former Brat Pack days and heartthrob status.

It’s all out of love, though, as John Owen previously told the New York Times, that the teasing is “our love language.”

The father-son duo get along so well, they costarred in (and co-produced) the Netflix series Unstable, inspired by their relationship. The show ran for two seasons.

But it’s very lax now. He’s chilled out in his older age!”

Hopper has also shared the screen with his family multiple times, acting alongside his father and Dylan in Flag Day (2021), again with his sister in Signs of Love (2022) and with his mother in Devil’s Peak (2023).

“I wanted to be an animator growing up for a long time,” he explained in a February 2025 appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. “I used to draw all the time and then one day I accidentally opened one of my dad’s checks and I was like, ‘I want to do that! That’s a lot better.’ ”

Damon and Damon starred on the CBS sitcom Poppa’s House, which centered around longtime radio host Poppa (Wayans Sr.) as he helped his son (Wayans Jr.) navigate the challenges of raising a family while living right next door.

“My mini me is now major me,” Mark Consuelos wrote on Instagram about his doppelgänger, Michael — who played a younger version of his dad’s Riverdale character, Hiram Lodge. And if that wasn’t enough, Michael has even confessed to swiping clothes from his father’s wardrobe.

“My dad has a cool closet,” he told PEOPLE in 2022. “I often raid my dad’s closet — and he always notices. He’s like, ‘Hey, where’s this?’ And I’m like, ‘Oh, you weren’t home. You were in Vancouver for a while, so I figured…’ He’s like, ‘Don’t figure, ask!’ ”

O’Shea Jackson Jr. looks so much like his rapper father that he played a young version of Ice Cube in the 2015 N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton — but he still had to work hard to get the role.

“He’s the greatest coach you could ever ask for. I was a student at the University of Southern California. I was there for screenwriting and in the middle of my second year, my dad was like, ‘We’re taking this N.W.A. movie serious,’ ” O’Shea told Drew Barrymore in January 2025. “And I’m like, ‘Oh man, that’s good Dad, I’m happy for you. He’s like, ‘No, in a perfect world, I would want you to play me.’ ”

He continued, “I ended up leaving school and I auditioned for two years to get the role. … I had to work for it because I was just a guy off the couch. So, I’ve just been trying to make it work ever since.”

He did, however, get to work with Clint in Flags of Our Fathers (2006), Gran Torino (2008), Invictus (2009) and Trouble with the Curve (2012).

“My dad and I don’t talk that much about acting. I think I’d probably hang on to his word too much. You know, I think it’s important for me to find my way,” he told CBS Mornings in October 2024. “And with the smile, funny enough, my mom says, ‘You know Ray, you were such a beautiful boy, and then you started to look like your father.’ “

And while millions of people would love to get a word of advice from the “Livin’ on a Prayer,” singer, when asked if he had given Jake and his now-wife Millie Bobby Brown any advice about being a couple in the public, the long-married laughed it off saying, “You don’t think they’re gonna listen, do you?”

He added, “The magic for me has just been growing together with [wife] Dorothea, and every day is a challenge and change, but if you’re growing together, then hopefully everything will work out.”

The thick brows and endearingly serious vibes aren’t the only things these two have in common; the leading man genes are also very strong.

With films such as The Amityville Horror, Westworld, Traffic, and his Golden Globe and Emmy-winning portrayal of Dr. Steven Kiley in Marcus Welby, M.D., under his belt, James Brolin’s lookalike son, Josh Brolin, had some huge steps to fill when he ventured into acting. And he did just that.

Josh made his film debut in The Goonies and he would go on to build an equally impressive career with films such as 21 Jump Street, Into the Blue, American Gangster, Milk and more.

The Brolins also share a particularly dark sense of humor. Both actors have gone on record to share a hilariously grim tale of how their family once ate Josh’s pet pig for dinner.
