Adam Scherr, FKA Braun Strowman in WWE, Launches Production Company With Magilla Entertainment (Exclusive)

Henceforth, Adam Scherr will be known as “The Monster Among Moonshiners.”

The former WWE Superstar known as Braun Strowman is launching a production banner alongside Magilla Entertainment (MoonshinersDiesel Brothers, Beachfront Bargain Hunt), The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Strowman Scherr and his producing partner Nick Antonicelli will run Meat Castle Media in partnership with Magilla.

The Meat Castle Media deal marks Magilla’s first talent-led production venture. Scherr and Antonicelli will work with Magilla chief development officer Kevin Duncan, who helped develop and executive produce USA Network’s Everything on the Menu, hosted by Scherr. They’ll create new unscripted series and formats, as well as podcasts spanning craft, competition, celebrity interviews and more.

The first Meat Castle series is Hands On, in which Scherr, a former tradesman and mechanic, tries his hand at a new unique craft in each episode, diving headfirst into the skilled professions that power the American dream. It’s like Dirty Jobs, just starring a 6’8″ goliath. They’ll also do a competition format set in the world of miniature model making.

“Nick and I couldn’t be more excited to re-team with Kevin, and work with the amazing folks at Magilla, to build a real force in the TV industry that puts talent, groundbreaking ideas and meaningful partnerships at the forefront,” Scherr said in a statement. “Magilla’s track record is second to none and we look forward to working with them to build a great slate of programming.”

Everything on the Menu follows Scherr as he travels the country exploring iconic restaurants, tackling massive culinary challenges and spotlighting the chefs behind each destination. The series was the highest-rated entertainment program (among adults 18-49) in its time slot across all of cable.

“Adam’s talent, charisma and creativity have led to great success across multiple areas of entertainment,” Matthew Ostrom and Laura Palumbo Johnson, co-founders of Magilla Entertainment, said in a joint statement. “With Meat Castle Media, we’re working with him and Nick to develop a slate of projects that reflect Adam’s interests and values, and also match his larger-than-life presence and personality. It’s been an exciting start, and we’re eager to bring these first projects to market.”

Scherr, 42 and a former competitive strongman (and still ac… strong man), won the WWE Universal Championship and the WWE Intercontinental Championship during his professional wrestling heyday. Scherr is not currently signed to a wrestling promotion.

Magilla Entertainment created Discovery’s Moonshiners and its spinoffs Master Distiller and American Spirit, Peacock docuseries O’ahu Shores, HGTV’s Beachfront Bargain Hunt and Beachfront Bargain Hunt: Renovation, and TLC’s Long Island Medium, among other series.
