All About Snoop Dogg’s Daughter Cori Broadus

Snoop Dogg is a multi-hyphenate: he’s a rap legend, an amateur chef alongside his close friend Martha Stewart and a father of four.
The “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper has three sons and one daughter, Cori Broadus, 26. The youngest of Snoop and Shanté Broadus’ children, Cori was born on June 22, 1999.
Cori was diagnosed with lupus at age 6 and has dealt with a number of health issues ever since. In January 2024, she experienced a “severe stroke,” and was taken to the hospital. A few days later, she was discharged and able to return home.
Snoop’s youngest recently became a first-time mom. In December 2024, she announced that she was expecting her first child with fiancé Wayne Duece, and the couple welcomed their baby girl in February 2025.
From her lupus diagnosis as a child to her beauty company, here’s everything to know about Snoop Dogg’s only daughter, Cori Broadus.
She was born in 1999
Snoop and Shanté welcomed their youngest child together and first daughter on June 22, 1999. However, Snoop wasn’t there for the special moment — something he continues to regret.
“I regret not being there when my baby girl was born,” he told VIBE magazine in 2011. “I was there for both of my boys. I was out and about, ripping and running, doing too much. The precautions I take now are because of her.”
Despite his absence at her birth, Snoop and Cori have maintained a close relationship as she grew older.
She was diagnosed with lupus as a child
When Cori was 6 years old, her parents noticed a small spot on her face. In the coming weeks, she began to lose drastic amounts of weight and her hair fell out. When Snoop and Shanté took her to the doctor, they couldn’t figure out a diagnosis at first.
“I felt helpless,” Snoop told PEOPLE in 2010. “No power, no friends.”
Eventually, Cori was diagnosed with lupus, an autoimmune disease in which the body’s immune system attacks healthy tissues it mistakenly sees as foreign invaders rather than combatting the bad bacteria and viruses.
“She’s the toughest little thing I’ve ever met,” Snoop said at the time. “She’s on the honor roll, playing volleyball and softball, living life. She has all this joy. In the beginning, lupus was winning. But now Cori is.”
In September 2023, Cori shared with PEOPLE that she stopped taking all her medication in favor of a more holistic approach to her disease, including herbs, sea mosses, teas and more exercise. “I’ve been good, better than I’ve ever been,” she said.
She added that she opted for the “all natural” approach because her regimented routine was making her “feel like I was going insane.”
“I’ve had medication since I was 6 years old, depending on these drugs all my life. So I wanted better for myself,” she said. “I wanted to change because it just became a lot. I’m only 24 years old, taking 10 to 12 pills every single day. So I kind of just went cold Turkey.”
Though it has been a long journey and there is no cure for lupus, Cori remains positive throughout the ups and downs she experiences.
“I have days where I’m sick, but I’m still blessed and able to do what I love to do and to tell my story,” she told PEOPLE. “But then there’s days I’m like, ‘Wow, I wish I wasn’t sick. What would my life be if I was just a normal girl?’ It’s part of being human. You’re going to have bad days, you’re not going to always have good days.”
She followed in her father’s footsteps as a performer
Cori dabbled in making music mainly in 2018, performing under the moniker Choc. She released a few songs on Spotify like “Same” and “Love Me for Me,” and, in 2020, released a music video for “With You,” which stars her now- fiancé Wayne Duece.
She has her own beauty company
Cori is also an entrepreneur, serving as the CEO of her beauty company Choc Factory, which she launched in September 2020. The brand makes different products but mainly focuses on lip glosses for diverse skin tones.
“When I was a little girl, my dad used to call me ‘Choc’ because I was sweet and chocolate-colored,” Cori told Essence in August 2022. “And that is what I put in my products that are handmade and filled with love and a touch of sweetness.”
She is an advocate for mental health
Cori has struggled with her mental health throughout her life, including a 2021 suicide attempt. She hasn’t shied away from being honest with her following online about her struggles and encouraging people to reach out for help.
In May 2021, Cori opened up on Instagram under a carousel of photos of her and Duece about her struggles with depression.
“The last few weeks my mental has not been so great at one point I tried to end my life but you & my family really give me a purpose to live & helped me realize Iife is much more than materialistic things & you gotta just keep pushing through the bulls—,” she wrote in the caption.
The following day, she posted a video on her Instagram explaining her situation more and how she has struggled with depression since she was a teenager, with some of it stemming from her health struggles with lupus.
“Just because my dad is who he is doesn’t mean I don’t get sad, that doesn’t mean that I don’t want things or that I don’t feel a way. I don’t know how to explain it,” she said.
She added that after she was taken to the hospital following her suicide attempt, she was learning how to cope with her negative thought patterns and “handling life, being an adult [and] not just trying to give up so easily.”
“Your mind is very powerful, it really is. So just appreciate your life because we only get one,” she said. “When things get hard, just pray. Taking your life is not worth it. It’s not okay. … Let’s get our mental right. Let’s do what we gotta do together.”
She experienced a stroke in January 2024
Cori and Wayne Duece started dating in 2018 after meeting at a party. He popped the question in November 2022 and Cori told Teen Vogue that she was in “shock” following the proposal.
The couple aren’t married yet, but their entire wedding planning process was documented in their E! series Snoop’s Fatherhood: Cori and Wayne’s Story, which premiered in December 2024.
She and Wayne Duece welcomed a baby girl in February 2025
Cori announced her pregnancy in December 2024. She told E! News that the baby was “so unplanned” but that she and Duece feel “blessed.”
Due to having lupus, Cori’s pregnancy was categorized as high-risk.
“Doctors were very concerned for me and the baby, but God has his hands on me, and me and the baby are doing perfectly fine,” the mom-to-be told the outlet, adding that she was expecting a girl.
Cori and Duece welcomed their baby girl in February 2025, when she was just 25 weeks pregnant, after doctors diagnosed her with HELLP syndrome, which is a life-threatening variant of preeclampsia.
“The princess arrived at 6 months 🥹👶🏽🎀,” Cori wrote in an Instagram post that featured a black and white photo of her baby girl’s foot. “I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself because I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed. But no matter what God always shows me that He got me! Baby girl came at 25 weeks today and she’s the best!! Thank You God for getting me this far 🙏 #nicubaby #25weeks.”
