Ally Lewber Calls James Kennedy Relationship ‘Toxic’ in New Video Series, Says She’s ‘Grateful’ to Be Out of It (Exclusive)

Ally Lewber’s next chapter starts now.

“I just want to say first, thank you all so much for all of your support and love that you guys have shown me over the past few months,” Lewber, 29, says in a PEOPLE exclusive teaser for her upcoming video series StarStruck with Ally Lewber. “I’m sure many of you know, James and I have broken up and it was difficult, very public. I recognize now that that was a toxic relationship and I’m grateful for being on the other side of it.”

The Vanderpump Rules alum began dating James Kennedy in January 2022 and she appeared in seasons 10 and 11 on the Bravo show. In season 11, the pair revealed that they moved in together into a home he purchased in Burbank, Calif. Lewber confirmed earlier this year that she and Kennedy, 33, broke up after the Burbank Police Department arrested him on a charge of misdemeanor domestic violence in December.

“I’m grateful for my friends, for my mom, but yeah, I just want you guys to know that I’m good,” Lewber says in the StarStruck clip. “I’m great. I have a new place and I’ve been enjoying decorating it.”

Now, Lewber wants to focus on her passion for astrology and her new video series, which will launch Wednesday, April 2.

“We actually filmed our very first episode the night before Kathy Hilton’s iconic Christmas party, so I’m so excited to finally be able to share it with you guys and to step into this new era where I can focus on astrology and my passion,” she says. “And no more DJs in reality TV each week!”

Lewber plans to sit down with celebrity guests for “unfiltered astrology readings,” where she’ll break down their birth charts. She promises “real conversations, cosmic insights and the kind of astrological tea you won’t find anywhere else.”

“Nothing is off limits,” the Bravolebrity continues. “And some of these insights will apply to you at home as well, so whether you’re an astrology newbie or a seasoned pro, a Vanderpump Rules fan, a skeptic. Whatever, this is the show for you.”

In January, Kennedy’s lawyer Scott Leemon confirmed that the Burbank City Attorney’s Office would not be filing charges against the disc jockey concerning his Dec. 2024 arrest. Leemon thanked the attorney’s office for “conducting a thorough and professional review of the matter involving my client, James Kennedy,” in a press release shared with PEOPLE.

Leemon said that Kennedy plans to focus on his sobriety and his DJ career going forward. Kennedy has since played DJ gigs in Florida and Las Vegas, and he will perform at a club in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, March 29.

StarStruck with Ally Lewber debuts Wednesday, April 2, on YouTube and audio episodes will be available across all major podcast platforms.
