‘Are You My First?’ Reality Series Brings Together Virgins Searching for Love

Think Love Island, but for virgins.
The producers of the mega-hit Peacock sensation at ITV America have teamed with Plimsoll Productions for a new unscripted reality dating competition for Hulu called Are You My First?.
As the title of the series implies, the new “reality dating experiment” will bring together singles who are virgins in search of love. They will navigate “love, lust and losing it,” per the announcement.
The series is hosted by Bachelor Nation stars Colton Underwood and Kaitlyn Bristowe; Underwood was memorably the first-ever virgin Bachelor star in 2019. The former professional football player came out as gay in 2021, and has chronicled his personal life both in the 2021 Netflix docuseries Coming Out Colton and his New York Times bestseller, The First Time. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his husband, Jordan, and their son, Bishop.
Bristowe, who starred as a fan-favorite lead on The Bachelorette in 2015, returned to the franchise as a temporary co-host after Chris Harrison’s high-profile departure in 2021. She also competed on Dancing With the Stars in 2020. She is a multifaceted media personality, entrepreneur and host of her popular podcast Off the Vine.
Here’s the official synopsis for Are You My First?: “In this groundbreaking new dating experiment, the largest, hottest group of virgins ever assembled search for intimacy, love — and maybe their first — in a tropical paradise designed just for them. For the first time, they’re free to explore their connections without judgment, allowing these sexy young singles to embark on a heated yet heartfelt journey packed with romantic dates, revealing challenges and new love interests eager to find The One. Who will find that special someone? And who will go home hot, bothered and heartbroken?”
Are You My First? starts streaming Monday, Aug. 18 on Hulu.
Peter Geist, David George, Adam Sher, Simon Thomas, James Barker, Grant Mansfield, Karen Plumb and Alan Eyres are executive producers on the series, with German Abraca and Kendall Elrod as co-executive producers.
