Armin Van Buuren’s Armada Music Teams With Peloton for DJ Residency

Are you ready to turn it up? Following a U.K. residency with Defected Records last year, fitness powerhouse Peloton is teaming up with independent dance music label Armada Music, founded by legendary DJ and producer Armin van Buuren and CEO Maykel Piron, for a new residency.
Starting this month, Peloton members will get to experience the energy of some of Armada’s big names with an “exclusive lineup of live DJ-led classes” produced at Peloton Studios in New York and London. Across the year, six workouts featuring Armada’s top artists will blend “heart-pumping rides and high-energy mat-based workouts,” the partners said on Tuesday.
“At Armada Music, we believe in the power of music to move people — both emotionally and physically,”
said Piron, CEO and co-founder of Armada Music. “Partnering with Peloton for this residency is an
exciting way to merge fitness with the music we love, creating a space where people can push their limits
while feeling completely immersed in the sound.”
The residency kicks off on Thursday, April 3 when Arty takes over Peloton Studios New York to deliver what Peloton said is its first live dance cardio class, with Peloton instructor Emma Lovewell, and a live DJ ride with instructor Olivia Amato. “Throughout the year, more Armada artists, including Armin van Buuren, will take center stage to bring the beats across Peloton’s diverse fitness disciplines,” the music company said.
“Being an instructor, music plays a pivotal role in planning my classes and setting the tone for the workout. Armada’s sound serves as the perfect mental escape and motivator during the tougher parts of class,” said Amato. “Riding to a live DJ set is that same concept amplified – combining movement, music and community makes these moments so powerful.”
The Armada residency is designed “to bring the energy of global dance floors directly to the Peloton community,” the partners said. “The residency will feature a total of six classes across multiple modalities, ensuring that every member can experience the electrifying synergy of live music and movement.”
The partnership will end with “a fall finale featuring Armada’s co-founder and dance music icon Armin
van Buuren,” the companies said. “As one of the most influential figures in electronic music – and a dedicated fitness lover himself – Armin’s presence in the Peloton Studios will be a milestone moment for both fitness and music fans.”
Armada’s talent roster also includes the likes of Ferry Corsten, Lilly Palmer, Chicane, Cedric Gervais, and Pretty Pink.
