Bindi Irwin’s Daughter Grace, 3, Looks All Grown Up as She Tries on Glasses in Snap with Robert Irwin: ‘Uncle Life’

Robert Irwin loves his role as an uncle!

On Friday, Sept, 6, the son of the late wildlife conservationist Steve Irwin shared a sweet snap to his Instagram of himself carrying his sister Bindi Irwin’s daughter Grace Warrior, whom she shares with husband Chandler Powell.

The 3-year-old looks all grown up in Robert’s arms, wearing her pajamas and a pair of red glasses. The proud uncle, 20, smiles big as he holds Grace, who looks almost too tall to fit in his arms, for the picture.

“Uncle life for me! ☺️” he captioned the post.

Bindi, 26, shared her love for her brother in the comment section, writing, “Thank you for being the best uncle and brother. We love you!”

In May, Bindi and mom Terri Irwin attended the Wildlife Warriors Steve Irwin Gala at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, where Steve’s legacy was honored. At the event, Terri, 60, revealed that Grace sometimes mistakes Robert for her late grandfather Steve.

And the cutest part? Grace mistakenly calls her uncle “Grandpa Crocodile,” the nickname she uses for Steve, who was also known as the “Crocodile Hunter.” Terri noted the strong resemblance between Robert and Steve, and described her granddaughter’s notice of that resemblance “really special.”

Steve died in 2006 at the age of 44 after being pierced in the chest by a stingray while filming a documentary in Batt Reef, near Queensland, Australia.

Although her father died when she was just a young girl, Bindi spoke about what she learned about parenting from both of her parents while at Saturday’s gala honoring Steve’s legacy.

“The best thing our parents ever did for us was be there for us, no matter what was happening in the world, with our conservation work. Mom and Dad were there for Robert and me 100% of the time,” Bindi told the crowd at the event.
