Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds caught up with pal Salma Hayek as their ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni continues.
The couple were spotted in New York City on Tuesday, May 13, walking and smiling with Lively’s sister Robyn, 53, plus Hayek, 58, whose Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover debuted earlier the same day. The group got dinner at RH Rooftop Restaurant.
Lively, 37, and Hayek both starred in the 2012 crime thriller Savages, and Reynolds, 48, worked with Hayek on 2017’s The Hitman’s Bodyguard and its 2021 sequel Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard. She has spent quality time with the couple over the years, making dinner for them and having a “girls night” in 2016.

Back in 2017, Hayek praised Lively during a speech at Variety‘s Power of Women luncheon.
“I still have never met anybody that at such an early stage in their life had such a sense of self, so much courage,” she said about the Gossip Girl alum at the time. “I mean, I saw her take on one of the biggest bullies in this industry that everybody feared. She was like, ‘Bring it on, baby. What’s your problem?’ She knows exactly what she wants.”
Lively is currently in the middle of a legal battle with her It Ends With Us costar Baldoni, 41. She sued him and others in December 2024, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation, which he denies. Baldoni then filed a $400 million countersuit against Lively and Reynolds, claiming defamation and extortion. Her lawyers called that lawsuit “meritless” and “vengeful.”
Scheduled to go to trial in March 2026, the highly publicized case has already roped in some of Lively’s famous friends: Taylor Swift was issued a subpoena from Baldoni’s attorneys as the discovery process amps up.
When that news came to light May 9, a spokesperson for Swift, 35, distanced the pop star from It Ends With Us and the legal drama.

The rep claimed that Swift “never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history.”

Swift’s spokesperson fired back that the document subpoena “is designed to use Taylor Swift’s name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case.”
Some of Lively’s alleged text messages to Baldoni were made public as exhibits in their separate complaints, including one in which Lively seemingly referred to Swift and Reynolds as her “dragons” who stand up for her.
Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman said in a previous statement that Lively “was the one who brought her high-profile friends into this situation without concern for their own personal or public backlash. As the truth shows, she used her ‘dragons’ to manipulate Justin at every turn.” A source previously told PEOPLE that Reynolds’ Deadpool & Wolverine costar Hugh Jackman could also be issued a subpoena soon.
Swift and boyfriend Travis Kelce were in the New York area this week, as he was spotted at her New York City apartment on May 10 before spending Mother’s Day with Swift and his family in Philadelphia on May 11.
