Christina Hall Selling Her Tenn. Home Where Ex Josh Has Been Living: ‘Time to Go Back to Reality’

Christina Hall is saying goodbye to her Tennessee home and leaving an apparent message for her estranged husband Josh Hall in the process.

The Christina on the Coast star, 41, revealed on Instagram on Thursday, Oct. 3 that she is listing her Leiper’s Fork farmhouse — which served as the setting for her HGTV spinoff Christina in the Country — for sale for $4.5 million.

A source tells PEOPLE Josh, 44, has been living in the house since the couple’s separation.

According to a legal document filed in September and obtained by PEOPLE, the exes reached a temporary agreement that stated Joshcould use the Tennessee house as long as it was not being rented out. Christina has previously said she has rented the house when she was not staying there.

The HGTV star purchased the home in February 2021 before she and Josh met and is the sole owner, according to court documents she filed in July. She’d previously spoken about wanting to retire with Josh at the country getaway someday.

Announcing the listing news on her Instagram Stories, Hall wrote to her followers that she was “excited for a new venture in business & real estate,” before sharing an apparent message about Josh in a follow-up post.

“I guess ‘Leiper’s Fork’ is gonna have to come off the bio soon,” she began the Instagram Story, as an apparent nod to Josh recently updating the location in his Instagram bio. Josh moved out of their $12 million mansion in Newport Beach, Calif. in early August.

“Time to go back to reality soon… Remember when you said you would never steal from me or my kids and you would just be happy in a van with your dog? I guess plans changed 🤔,” Christina continued. “All about trying to take everything you can… With your mind on my money and my money on your mind… 💰🎶. Byeeee✌🏻”

Christina’s post was in reference to the $35,000 in rental income that, according to a court filing by Christina, was transferred by Josh to his personal bank account the day after she told him she planned to file for divorce. Josh alleged at the time that the money was to pay for expenses associated with the property, for which he claimed to handle all bills.

Their September legal agreement states that Josh will return that amount to Christina and Christina should control all finances associated with the rental.

A representative for Christina did not reply to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

A representative for Josh shared a statement with PEOPLE that reads, “Josh has said repeatedly that he wants to handle the divorce like an adult—in the courts, not in social media and the tabloids. Over and over again, Christina has insisted otherwise, creating public spectacles, but Josh has still stayed quiet. But now Christina is defaming him. These are false, libelous claims. Josh hasn’t stolen a penny from her or her family. This is a red line, and Christina has crossed it. Instead of repeating Christina’s false statement, the media should ask why Christina keeps insisting on handling this matter in public instead of through the law.”

On Friday morning, Christina shared another Instagram Stories post elaborating on her claims regarding Josh’s alleged mismanagement of funds related to the rental property and claiming that she made payments on all of their cars. She also believes that Josh’s request for spousal support is unreasonable given the short length of their marriage, referring to her ex as a “gold digging little biatch.”

She concluded the post, “Ps my autobiography is in the works and is gonna be a real page turner.”

It also includes a three-car garage, a barn and “fenced areas” for animals, a “generous” owner’s retreat and more.

Per Zillow, it was initially built in 2017 before Hall purchased the home in 2021, when she previously told PEOPLE she “immediately fell in love” with it and made an offer.

“It’s on 23 acres, super private and has everything I could imagine and more,” she said at the time.
