There are a few sure-fire ways to turn around a subpar day for me. I could go on a run, eat a great meal with people I love, or rewatch a sporting event I already know ends in my favor. But nothing flips a switch in me quite like a good shopping haul, which, now that I think about it, is probably why I made doing just that my life’s work.
