Is Bob Dylan the voice behind Machine Gun Kelly’s album trailer?
On Tuesday, June 10, MGK, 35, announced his upcoming album Lost Americana with a vintage montage that is seemingly narrated by the “Like a Rolling Stone” crooner. The album is set to release on Aug. 8.
In the clip shared on the rock-rapper’s Instagram, the “My Ex’s Best Friend” singer rides a motorcycle wearing a white and red jacket that reads “Lost Americana.”
The retro-style video features clips of MGK and others spending time outdoors, along with glimpses of neon signs and moments in the recording studio. The caption teased Dylan, 84, as the narrator.
“Lost Americana is a personal excavation of the American Dream. A journey to find what’s been lost,” the narrator begins.

“This album is a love letter for those who seek to rediscover the dreamers, the jesters, the defiant. It’s a sonic map of forgotten places, a tribute to the spirit of reinvention and a quest to reclaim the essence of American freedom.”
The narrator continues: “From the glow of neon diners to the rumble of the motorcycles, this is music that celebrates the beauty found in the in-between spaces. Where the past is reimagined, and the future is forged on your own terms.”
Per a press release, the forthcoming album is an “emotionally honest new chapter that reflects on his past with help from longtime collaborators and friends SlimXX, BazeXX and Nick Long.”
PEOPLE reached out to Bob Dylan about the narration and did not receive a response.

Dylan and MGK have been connected before. In February, the octogenarian shared a video on his Instagram of the musician performing in a record shop 2016. “wtf,” MGK wrote on his Instagram Stories with a screenshot of Dylan’s video. “this was not on my 2025 bingo card.”
The rapper commented on the clip, “you having a phone is so rad.”
MGK then recorded a video of the moment he found out about Dylan’s social media post, which happened when he was talking to people about the direction of the album he was working on. “Am I doing the right thing? Is this the right direction for this album? I’m questioning it,” he recalled.
“And in the same breath that I’m questioning it, someone goes, ‘Bob Dylan just posted a video of you.’ And I’m like, ‘There must be another Bob Dylan. Whatever.’ “
“We got to his Instagram, he did post a video. I’m like…Just the originator of doing everything opposite of what people wanted him to do, randomly posting a video of me back in the day rapping in a vinyl shop. I’m just like, ‘What the f—?’”
The “Emo Girl” singer considered it a good omen. “Just trust the signs, man,” MGK added. “That was so cool. I’m so grateful. So random.”
Lost Americana, which features mgk’s new single “cliché,” is available for pre-order.
