Ed Weeks to Star in Vampire Comedy Pilot ‘Eternally Yours’ at CBS

A CBS comedy pilot from Ghosts showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman has found its male lead.
Ed Weeks (The Mindy Project, Drop) will star in Eternally Yours, about a vampire couple who have been married for 500 years and are struggling to accept the fact that their daughter is now dating a human.
Weeks will play Charles, one half of the married couple. The character description reads, “Nobility in the Middle Ages, Charles is now a pencil pusher who, along with his family, has to move every few years to avoid attracting attention to the fact that they never age. He disdains modernity and the weak-minded humans who inhabit it, which makes it all the worse when he learns his vampire daughter is now dating one.”
CBS ordered a pilot for Eternally Yours in July after wrapping a development writers room. The project has been in development for more than a year, with Port and Wiseman exploring a different supernatural world than the one in Ghosts.
CBS Studios, where Port and Wiseman have an overall deal, is producing Eternally Yours. Port and Wiseman wrote the pilot and executive produce with Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum and Jason Wang.
Weeks is coming off roles in Blumhouse’s thriller Drop and the indie horror comedy Damned If You Do. He was a regular on The Mindy Project throughout its six-season run on Fox and Hulu. His credits also include Fox’s LA to Vegas and a recurring part on ABC’s Not Dead Yet, and films including French Girl and The Leisure Class. He is repped by Curate, WME and Yorn Levine.
