Golden Globes: Nikki Glaser to Return as Host in 2026

Nikki Glaser, the Golden Globe-, Grammy- and Emmy-nominated comedian who hosted the Golden Globe Awards earlier this year, will return as the emcee of that ceremony — the highest-profile awards show that celebrates the best of both film and TV, and the first major telecast of the awards season — in January 2026, CBS and the Golden Globes announced Thursday.
On Jan. 5, at the 82nd Golden Globes Awards, Glaser became the first female solo host of a Globes telecast, and received rave reviews.
“Hosting the Golden Globes this year was without a doubt the most fun I have ever had in my career,” Glaser said in a statement. “I can’t wait to do it again, and this time in front of the team from The White Lotus, who will finally recognize my talent and cast me in season four as a Scandinavian Pilates instructor with a shadowy past.”
Added Helen Hoehne, president of the Golden Globes, “Nikki Glaser brought a refreshing spark and fearless wit to the Golden Globes stage this year. Her sharp humor and bold presence set the tone for an unforgettable night, making the ceremony feel vibrant and most of all fun.”
Glaser, 40, burst onto the scene with two HBO comedy specials in three years: 2022’s Good Clean Filth and 2024’s Nikki Glaser: Someday You’ll Die. The latter generated the highest premiere-night ratings for an HBO comedy special in more than two years and garnered the largest streaming audience for a comedy special in HBO/Max history. It also brought her a Writers Guild Award and Emmy, Grammy, Golden Globe and Critics Choice award nominations.
Glaser recently wrapped her global The Good Girl stand-up tour, and is now crisscrossing the U.S., Canada and Australia with her Alive and Unwell tour.
The 83rd Golden Globe Awards will be planned and produced by Dick Clark Productions, and will be broadcast in more than 185 countries and territories worldwide. Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers will have access to stream live via the live feed of their local CBS affiliate on the service, as well as on demand. Paramount+ Essential subscribers will not have the option to stream live but will have access to on-demand the day after the special airs.
