First Look: Nikki Glaser as Host of Golden Globes
With a month before showtime, the countdown is on for the 2025 Golden Globes. As such, here comes the first look at host Nikki Glaser. The stand-up star, who saw her career skyrocket following a killer set at Netflix’s The Roast of Tom Brady, will front the 82nd annual installment at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, on Jan. 5.
The Golden Globes will air live on the CBS Television Network and stream on Paramount+ in the U.S. Mindy Kaling and Morris Chestnut are confirmed to reveal the nominees on Dec. 9, with all categories announced on CBSNews.com/GoldenGlobes and on the CBS News app at 8:15 a.m. ET/5:15 a.m. PT. Ten categories will be unveiled live at 8:30 a.m. ET/5:30 a.m. PT on CBS Mornings.
Glaser had another high-profile in Hollywood this week as she delivered the welcome remarks to open The Hollywood Reporter’s annual Women in Entertainment gala, presented by Lifetime, on Wednesday at The Beverly Hills Hotel in front of an A-list crowd that included Nicole Kidman, Selena Gomez and Jennifer Lawrence.
Two months ago, THR shared a moment with Glaser at the Emmy Nominees Night bash where the veteran comedian confidently stated that she’s more than ready for the Globes. “I thought they made a good decision,” she said hot on the heels of the announcement. “I know what to do to make it great. I know the amount of work that goes into it. I take it very seriously, the job at hand. I think I can strike the right tone of making fun of Hollywood while also just completely being sycophantic over it, and being like, ‘I want you to like me, but also what are we doing here?’”
Glaser also said that she feels that it’s “perfect timing” to take the stage in a “notoriously hard room” to perform comedy. “I just feel like my 21-year career has prepared me for this. I’ve done tough rooms. I can do this, and I just feel really ready.”
