Heather Rae El Moussa Says She Would ‘Love’ to Have Another Baby with Husband Tarek Under This One Condition (Exclusive)

Heather Rae El Moussa isn’t ruling out the possibility of expanding her family.

During an exclusive chat with PEOPLE about her SHEIN x Heather Rae Must Haves collection, the HGTV star, 37, opened up about whether she and her husband Tarek El Moussa have thought about welcoming another little one into their family. While Heather says she loves being a mom and that it’s her “favorite role” that she’s ever had in life, she says she and Tarek would have to be “really ready” to add another baby to their blended family.

“Well, I love being a mom. It is my favorite role that I’ve ever done in my whole life and more fulfilling than I ever thought it would be,” she tells PEOPLE. “I love being a stepmom to Tay and Bray. Tristan is the light of my life. He grounds me, he makes me so happy. I call him my little earth angel because he’s just perfection. I could be coming home from a long day, a long shoot, filming, and I walk in the door and he yells, ‘Mommy!’ and runs and jumps in my arms and it melts me.”

“It’s no stress for me, raising kids and being a mom. It’s the least stressful thing in my life and fulfills me so much. Why would I not want more of that? It’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever done,” she adds. “So I think that’s kind of your answer right there. But, yeah, I still would love another one, but it has to fit into our life. It’s a huge change, and you have to be really ready for it.”

Back in 2010, Tarek became a father for the first time when his then-wife Christina Haack gave birth to their daughter, Taylor Reese, 14. In 2015, the couple became parents again when they welcomed son Brayden James, 9. After their split in 2016, Tarek remarried Heather, welcoming their first baby, a son named Tristan, in January 2023.

“I’m just obsessed with my kids,” Tarek previously told PEOPLE. “They’re my everything, so having another one is just icing on the cake. I’m so excited.”

The married couple has previously opened up about potentially expanding their family. During a May 2023 episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show, Tarek and Heather spoke about undergoing IVF before having Tristan. Heather explained that they still have embryos from the IVF process, noting that they “might have another baby.”

“I did not think I was going to be successful at having a baby. And I have two beautiful step kids and they’re incredible and they made me want to have babies,” Heather explained.

“It’s like an obsession I never knew could happen, and the female body is the most incredible thing going through this,” she added. “I have such an appreciation for women and what we go through, and it’s such a beautiful thing.”

On Sunday, June 15, in honor of Father’s Day, Heather, penned a loving tribute to her husband Tarek.

“Happy Father’s Day to the best dada to Tay, Bray & Tristan,” the Selling Sunset star captioned an Instagram carousel of sweet family snaps. “You show up to protect us with everything you’ve got, every single day for me as a partner and for all three of the babies, and I’m so proud to be doing this wild, but beautiful life with you.”

Heather continued to praise Tarek for his approach to parenting, writing, “It’s rare to parent so universal and parallel like we do. You are fun, always have words of wisdom, and teaching moments. And I’m so thankful to be with someone who constantly wants to work on being a better version of himself for your family and for yourself. When outside noise creeps in remember what really matters in our life.”

She concluded her post by writing, “We all love you so much daddy bear 🐻 🤍.”
