Heidi Klum Makes Her ‘Project Runway’ Return in Season 21 Trailer

Heidi Klum is officially back on Project Runway in the trailer for season 21 of the beloved fashion series.
In the first-look clip of the brand-new season, Klum can be seen re-entering the workroom alongside contestant mentor Christian Siriano. Season 21 marks the first time the two legendary fashion figures will be working alongside each other on the reality TV show after Siriano won season four back in 2007.
“Now that’s an entrance,” Siriano exclaimed as the pool of designers screamed and cheered for Klum’s monumental Project Runway return. Returning guest judge Nina Garcia was also introduced in the trailer alongside new judge Law Roach, giving viewers a glimpse at the fresh dynamic among the judges panel.
The remainder of the trailer teases drama among the designers — and with the judges. Contestants vying to win season 21 of Project Runway include RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Ethan Mundt, season 7’s Jesus Estrada, season 19’s Caycee Black, Alex Foxworth, Angelo Rosa, Antonio Estrada (Jesus’ twin), Belania Daley, Joan Madison, Joseph McRae, Madeline Malenfant, Veejay Floresca and Yuchen Han.
The trailer, too, teased a slate of star-studded guest judges, including Christian Cowan, Harris Reed, Jenna Lyons, Joan Smalls, Michael Kors, Mickey Guyton, Nikki Glaser, Sara Foster, Sofia Vergara, Tyra Banks and Zac Posen.
The forthcoming season notably marks Klum’s return as host after she exited the series in 2018. She notably left the show alongside its longtime mentor Tim Gunn and they pivoted to host their Amazon series Making the Cut.
Season 21 of Project Runway will be its first year on Freeform. Previously, the show debuted on Bravo in 2004, shifted to Lifetime and returned back to the NBCUniversal network with season 17. With the brand-new season, the beloved reality series will now be backed by Disney, streaming on Hulu and Disney+ after premiering on Freeform.
Project Runway returns on July 31.
