Jennifer Lopez and her child took in a night on the town!

On Saturday, April 5, the singer and actress, 55, was snapped attending the Buena Vista Social Club musical in New York City with her teenager, Emme Maribel Muñiz, 17.

The duo were pictured backstage with the cast of the new musical, which was written by Marco Ramirez and directed by Saheem Ali.

Lopez flashed a beaming smile in photos snapped at the event and wrapped one arm around her child as they stood at the center of the production’s cast.

The “If You Had My Love” artist could also be seen in a solo shot as she held onto the show’s playbill.

Lopez reposted the snaps from her night on her Instagram Stories, alongside Buena Vista Social Club’s 1997 song “Chan Chan” and handclap emojis.

Sharing another snap of herself and Emme, the proud mom, who also shares Emme’s twin brother Max Muñiz, 17, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, wrote, “@buenavistamusical with my coco.”

Buena Vista Social Club, which opened on Broadway on March 19, 2025, tells the story of the Cuban musical ensemble that brought to life the Grammy award-winning album, Buena Vista Social Club.

“A world-class Afro-Cuban band is joined by a sensational cast in this unforgettable tale of survival, second chances, and the extraordinary power of music,” a release for the production obtained by PEOPLE highlighted.

The production’s choreography is also led by Patricia Delgado and Tony Award winner Justin Peck, who did the choreography for Steven Spielberg’s 2021 theater adaptation of the film West Side Story.

Per the release, the cast of Buena Vista Social Club includes Natalie Venetia Belcon (Omara), Julio Monge (Compay), Mel Semé (Ibrahim) Jainardo Batista Sterling (Rubén), Isa Antonetti (Young Omara), Da’von T. Moody (Young Compay), Wesley Wray (Young Ibrahim) and Leonardo Reyna (Young Rubén).

The production also stars Renesito Avich (Eliades), Ashley De La Rosa (Young Haydee), Justin Cunningham (Juan de Marcos), Angélica Beliard, Carlos Falú, Carlos Gonzalez, Héctor Juan Maisonet, Ilda Mason, Marielys Molina, Andrew Montgomery Coleman, Sophia Ramos, Anthony Santos, Martín Sola and Tanairi Sade Vazquez.

Lopez’s recent outing comes after she and Emme attended the opening of George Clooney’s new Broadway play Good Night, and Good Luck on April 3.

The Maid in Manhattan star even posed with her Out of Sight costar at the premiere’s afterparty at the New York Public Library.

Emme and Lopez also attended the Broadway opening night of Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal’s new revival of Othello last month.
