Jilly Pearce to Head Unscripted Programming at ABC and Hulu

Disney is filling a key executive post in its unscripted division.
Jilly Pearce has joined the company as senior vp unscripted programming for ABC Entertainment and Hulu Originals. She comes to Disney from the All3Media-owned Objective Media Group America, where she served as president.
In her new role, Pearce will be responsible for development of unscripted shows across ABC and Hulu and will also oversee the two outlets’ roster of current programming, which ranges from Dancing With the Stars to The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. She reports to Rob Mills, executive vp unscripted and alternative entertainment for Walt Disney Television.
“I’m excited to join Craig Erwich, Rob Mills and their incredible teams at Disney Entertainment Television — the force behind some of the most innovative and compelling shows on television,” Pearce said in a statement. “I look forward to building on their successful relationships and collaborating on entertaining new formats and beloved returning series.”
At Objective Media, Pearce shepherded a host of projects, executive producing CBS’ game show Lingo, TBS’ The Cube, Max’s 12 Dates of Christmas and PBS’ The Great American Recipe, among others. Prior to joining Objective Media, she worked at Channel 4 in the U.K. and at MTV.
“Jilly’s extensive experience spanning both the network and production sectors brings invaluable insight and leadership to our organization,” said Mills. “Her energy and vision will undoubtedly elevate and inspire our work. We are excited to welcome her to our team.”
