Kanye West Storms Off Piers Morgan After Dispute on How Many X Followers He Has

Kanye West stormed off Piers Morgan‘s Uncensored just over three minutes into his conversation with the British journalist on Tuesday, leaving after a dispute over how many followers the rapper has on X, formerly Twitter.
West, who’s been on a months-long spree spewing hateful and antisemitic posts on his account (in between teasing and releasing new music), went on the program with social media personality Sneako, calling in from a residence in Majorca, Spain overlooking the ocean. Morgan asked West about how his life is going, to which West told him to “judge it on the view as the answer to how my life is.”
Morgan told West that his answer was in “direct contrast to your public image at the moment,” with West interjecting before Morgan finished his question, responding with further antisemitic-coded comments about how he’s being “attacked by the banks.”
“I already disagree, it’s not in contrast,” West said. “There’s so many people and artists that are championing the idea of someone being able to express who they really are, and have been able to go through the war of being attacked by the banks, attacked by… the banks, that’s the best way to put it, and to still be here with this view. That’s the win, I’m in contrast to your contrast.”
Morgan then transitioned to West’s posts on X and noting that he has 32 million followers. West responded telling Morgan that “you’re not going to take inches off my dick, bro,” before encouraging him to verify how many followers he has. Morgan’s staff informed him that he actually has 33 million followers, with Morgan sarcastically responding “congratulations [on] your slightly bigger following than I thought.”
West then called himself a “gift” then asked why “all you people in media act like you haven’t played my songs at your weddings, graduations, or at funerals or when your child is born?”
“That nuance right there is idiotic, it shows the hate you put out for people who put out love, there’s so much love in the art that I put out,” West said.
Morgan, seemingly confused, then responded: “What are you talking about, I haven’t said anything,” and told West he’s played his music. West told Morgan that he wasn’t taking “accountability or responsibility” and told him “this is what you get for now, we can circle back when you can count.”
West got up from his seat, leaving Morgan alone with Sneako, who confirmed “that’s it for Ye” before continuing to speak with Morgan on his own.
