Ryder Robinson, Kate Hudson’s Son, Reveals Surprising Relationship News with His Longtime Girlfriend
Kate Hudson’s eldest son, Ryder Robinson, recently shared a heartwarming update on his relationship with girlfriend Piper Lacy, marking their second anniversary. The couple celebrated this romantic milestone on Thursday by posting adorable photos of each other.
Ryder took to social media to commemorate their special day, captioning a Polaroid photo of Piper with a heart emoji, writing “Year 2.” Friends and fans quickly filled the comments with excitement, with one declaring, “Cutie pies,” and another chiming in with, “Fav couple.” Piper also shared a snapshot on her Instagram, featuring Ryder in a masquerade costume, complete with a black blazer and mask.
In the picture, she sat beside him, looking stunning in a beige gown and adorned with a feathered mask. She captioned the post with a heartfelt, “Happy anniversary.” Additionally, Piper created a touching collage celebrating their relationship, which included a moment of her sitting on Ryder’s lap while he played guitar.
Before his relationship with Piper, Ryder was linked to Iris Apatow, the youngest daughter of director Judd Apatow and actress Leslie Mann. The former couple made their romance public on Valentine’s Day in 2022, sharing coordinated photos on their Instagram accounts. Iris spoke fondly of Ryder during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, expressing her happiness and how refreshing it was to find someone who truly cared for her.
Their families were thrilled when they started dating, as Iris noted they had known each other since childhood. “Our families have known each other since we were babies,” she shared. “I’ve always gone to school with him, and I just didn’t really pay him any mind. He’s an angel. We definitely fell towards each other’s lives at a good moment.”
However, the pair split a year later, and Iris has since moved on with Sam Nivola, a star from The White Lotus. Ryder, on the other hand, has found joy with Piper and appears to be thriving in New York after relocating for university in 2023.
Kate Hudson opened up about the challenges of watching her eldest son leave home during an interview, expressing how difficult it is not to hear his voice in the mornings when she is in Los Angeles. “It’s so hard,” she admitted. “All you want is your kid to thrive and be happy. But, man, when I’m in LA, and I go to the coffee machine in the morning, and I don’t hear his voice, it’s a big one.”
Kate shares Ryder with her first husband, Chris Robinson. She also has a second son, Bingham, with her ex, Matt Bellamy, and a daughter, Rani, with her fiancé, Danny Fujikawa.
