Kiefer Sutherland, Rebel Wilson’s Holiday Comedy ‘Tinsel Town’ Sets November Release (Exclusive)

Kiefer Sutherland and Rebel Wilson are bringing some tinsel to theaters.
Brainstorm Media is set to release director Chris Loggins’ holiday feature Tinsel Town in theaters and via VOD on Nov. 28, The Hollywood Reporter can exclusively reveal. Sutherland and Wilson lead the cast that also includes Derek Jacobi, Mawaan Rizwan, Maria Friedman, Jason Manford, Asim Chaudhry, Danny Dyer, Ray Fearon and Lucien Laviscount.
Tinsel Town centers on Bradley Mack (Sutherland), a washed-up Hollywood action star who heads to a small English village to play a small role in the idiosyncratic Christmas pageant. As he prepares for the show, he bonds with its straight-talking choreographer (Wilson) while taking the opportunity to reconnect with his estranged daughter.
Foggin (Bank of Dave) helmed the film from a script by Frazer Flintham, Adam Brown, Piers Ashworth and Jake Brunger. Matt Williams and Pascal Degove serve as producers. The photos that are above and below are exclusive to THR.
Wilson took to Instagram in March to celebrate Tinsel Town wrapping production in England and share a carousel of photos from the set. “Kiefer gave me this Polaroid camera on the last day as a present so I took these snaps of some of the brilliant cast & crew on set,” the actress captioned her post. “Loved filming in Leeds, Knaresborough and Harrogate…being outside was like free cryotherapy!!”
Sutherland’s recent credits include the features Juror #2 and They Cloned Tyrone and the series Rabbit Hole and The First Lady. He can soon be seen opposite Kiernan Shipka and Krysten Ritter in the thriller film Stone Cold Fox, hitting theaters next month.
Wilson recently led the movies Bride Hard and Senior Year. Wilson also appears in the musical The Deb, which marks her feature directorial debut and landed a distribution deal amid ongoing litigation.
