Lana Del Rey Sings About Kissing Morgan Wallen in New Song ‘57.5’ at Stagecoach: ‘Kind of Went to His Head’

- Lana Del Rey revealed in lyrics to a new song — titled “57.5” — at her 2025 Stagecoach Festival performance on April 25 that she once kissed Morgan Wallen
- She sang, “I kissed Morgan Wallen / I guess kissing me kind of went to his head / If you want my secret to success / I suggest don’t go ATVing with him when you’re out west”
- The song seemingly also includes lyrics about Del Rey’s husband, Jeremy Dufrene, whom she wed in September 2024
Lana Del Rey decided to kiss and tell in her new song lyrics.
The “Summertime Sadness” singer, 39, revealed during her performance at the 2025 Stagecoach Festival this weekend that she once kissed country star Morgan Wallen — a lyrical confession she made as she debuted a new track.
On Friday, April 25, Del Rey debuted a song called “57.5” during the country festival in Indio, Calif., as she prefaced the revelation by sharing that it would be “the last time I’m ever going to say this line.”
“I kissed Morgan Wallen / I guess kissing me kind of went to his head,” she sang. “If you want my secret to success / I suggest don’t go ATVing with him when you’re out west.”
Elsewhere in the song’s performance — which features lyrics and a title referencing her apparent number of Spotify listeners (57.5 million monthly listeners) at the time of writing it — Del Rey sang that she now has “a man” who “really loves me” and is “a fan of mine,” seemingly referring to her husband, Jeremy Dufrene, whom she wed in September 2024.
It wasn’t clear when the kiss in question took place. A rep for Wallen, 31, did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment on Saturday, April 26.
PEOPLE previously confirmed that Del Rey tied the knot with Dufrene on Sept. 26, 2024 — during a ceremony that took place at the public bayou where Dufrene works as a captain at Airboat Tours by Arthur. Three days before, the duo obtained a marriage license from the Lafourche Parish Clerk of Court in Louisiana. At the time, a source told PEOPLE that the Louisiana bayou was “where they first met.”
“It’s a special place for them. It was a beautiful, relaxed and family focused wedding,” the source said. “The focus was just on their love story.”
The couple has largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight, although earlier this month, Del Rey shared an Instagram snap featuring her and her husband decked out in festive wedding-themed hats. “This has been such a crazy nine months,” Del Rey captioned the April 4 post.
In the weeks since, Del Rey has released a pair of new singles — “Henry, Come On” and “Bluebird” — both of which arrive before her forthcoming album. Per Rolling Stone, the musician shared a couple other new songs during her Stagecoach set, titled “Husband of Mine” and “Quiet in the South.”
In October, Del Rey shared in an interview with PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly that her new songs had “taken on an Americana feel, and I’m waiting to see what the musical atmosphere is like.”
