Louis C.K. Offers Tour Update After Two-Year Break From Stand-Up: “Happy to Be Lucky to Be Alive”

In a new “rather boring and sincere” email sent to his fans, Louis C.K. confirmed Friday that he’s added dates to a world tour that brings him back to the stand-up stage after a nearly two-year break.

The Louis C.K. Ridiculous tour, which he describes as including a “gargantuan amount of shows,” kicks off April 17 with two sold-out dates at Burton Cummings Theatre in Winnipeg, Canada. It continues through April 4, 2026, and is currently scheduled to wrap at the Hawaii Theatre in Honolulu. Many of the dates have already sold out, leading to the new dates with second shows added in Nashville, Paris, Madrid, Milan, Athens and Istanbul as well as a third night for stops in Boston and London. The tour also includes two stops at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre and one night in nearby Long Beach at the Terrace Theater.

“I am working out in many clubs now and [through] the next few months getting the new jokes, stories and general stupidities ready for the tour. I took about two years off before this tour and I’m very glad I did. I’m having a great time on stage now and I’m excited to share this crap with all of you,” C.K. writes in the email blast. “I hope you can come. Because I like you. And I am not afraid of you.”

He then lists a link to his personal website, home base for much of professional business in the wake of a sexual misconduct scandal that derailed his career. “Go here for tickets to my live professional standup comedy performance tour shows in stages in various theaters and venues around the country and world where I will make joking words and laughter will happen in your body and then some of your money will be mine and some will belong to the venues, their employees, my employees, the government, various ticket and promotion companies but mostly it will be mine,” he writes before signing off “happy to be lucky to be alive.”

The email blast is the latest communication from the veteran multi-hyphenate who last shared a life update with his fans last November in conjunction with the release of a Netflix stand-up special he directed for friend and tour mate Adrienne Iapalucci, The Dark Queen.

“For those of you wondering what I’ve been doing: I’ve taken up sculpture (clay and stone) and drawing with charcoal. I’ve written a novel and I’m working on a second. That about wraps it up on me,” wrote the stand-up star, writer and filmmaker in the opening lines of that communication.
