Nara and Lucky Blue Smith are in it for the long haul.

The models crossed paths on social media before meeting in person at a fashion show in 2019. After spending time together on a 10-day trip to Australia at the beginning of their relationship, they began having conversations about their future to be on “the same page.”

“I feel like every single trip we had, we just grew closer and closer, especially that trip in Australia,” Lucky said in a September 2020 YouTube video. “We kind of talked about more serious topics, like finances, religion — stuff that you need to talk about if you feel like this is getting serious.”

A few months after their December 2019 engagement, Lucky and Nara got married in February 2020. Eight months after their wedding, they welcomed their first child, Rumble Honey.

Now, Lucky, who is also a dad to daughter Gravity Blue, and Nara have three kids together, including Rumble, son Slim Easy and daughter Whimsy Lou. In June 2025, the couple announced they were expecting their fourth baby together.

While Nara mentions her children on her social media, they’re mostly absent from her content, unlike her husband, who is frequently featured in her videos.

From meeting online to their growing family, here’s everything to know about Nara and Lucky Blue Smith’s relationship.

They first connected on social media

While Nara is known for her popular TikTok content, social media first changed her life years ago when she met her husband online. The married couple shared the story of how they met in a September 2020 YouTube video where Lucky admitted he reached out to his now-wife on Instagram in 2019 after coming across her profile two years prior.

“I messaged her on Instagram about a year ago,” he said. “I don’t know why I didn’t message her before I did, but it took me like a year to message her … but I messaged her, we started texting, I got her number.”

Nara added that Lucky would reply to her every three days, before he chimed in to explain he preferred speaking on the phone. So, they did just that, and their first phone call lasted a whopping seven hours.

“In the first few minutes, I just knew I was talking to my wife, as weird or crazy as that sounds,” Lucky said.

They continued talking on the phone nightly before they first met in person at Milan Fashion Week.

“She was walking a show in Milan and I was attending the same show,” Lucky explained, with Nara adding that they realized they would be “at the same place, at the same time, doing the same thing” on one of their phone calls.

The first day they met in person, Lucky asked Nara to be his girlfriend.

They had a long-distance relationship

During the beginning of Nara and Lucky’s relationship, they were dating long distance. After their initial meeting in Milan, they took trips to Paris and Australia.

Lucky explained that because he already had a daughter, Gravity, whom he shares with model Stormi Bree, he was “in a different spot than where a lot of 21-year-olds were.” When he met Nara, he was “trying to find my wife and start a family,” and the two quickly realized they were meant to be together during their travels Down Under.

“In Australia, I knew I wanted to marry you. I just knew that you were my person,” Nara said, while Lucky added, “While I was out there, I definitely knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you.”

With Lucky living in Los Angeles and Nara in Germany, they knew they “didn’t want to continue a long-distance relationship” because of the “time difference” plus the stressors of everyday life.

That winter, Lucky spent the holidays with Nara’s family, where he asked her father for “permission” to marry Nara, which he described as a “story by itself.” Then, Nara traveled to L.A. with intentions to stay in the U.S. for three months, which ultimately turned into a more permanent move.

Lucky sparked engagement rumors in early January 2020 after posting a photo of Nara on Instagram sporting a rock on her ring finger. “122919,” he wrote in the caption of the photo, seemingly hinting that they got engaged on Dec. 29, 2019.

Just two months later, Lucky and Nara wed on Feb. 21, 2020, with a beachside ceremony.

“the boy who stole my heart… I married my best friend today,” Nara wrote under a video of her and Lucky sharing a romantic kiss on Instagram

Less than a year after Nara and Lucky married, they welcomed their first child, Rumble Honey, on Oct. 7, 2020. The TikTok star announced her daughter’s arrival with an adorable photo of the baby girl wrapped in a blanket on Instagram, writing, “little baby angel Rumble Honey 🥺 10/7/20.”

In September 2021, they announced they were expecting their second child in an Instagram post of Lucky holding Nara’s pregnant belly. Their son, Slim Easy, was born on Jan. 6, 2022.

The couple welcomed their third child, Whimsy Lou, on April 8, 2024, before Nara revealed a few months later that she was “absolutely done” having kids.

“Having toddlers is the best sort of birth control, because they’re wild. We feel like we couldn’t be as good of parents if we added in any more,” she said in an interview with GQ.

However, less than a year later, Nara announced on Instagram that the two were expecting their fourth child. “Our little surprise🥹🤍,” Nara and Lucky captioned a joint Instagram post featuring a video of the couple cradling Nara’s baby bump.

In December 2024, Nara shared a TikTok video about her family’s move to Connecticut. She revealed they’d moved “six times in the past five years,” but planned on this being their last location switch as they bought a house.

Three months earlier, Nara revealed the reasons they were leaving their Dallas home and why they chose Connecticut as their next step.

“We want a slower life, being in a more quiet area, having more space, being able to get some chickens and start gardening,” Nara said in a TikTok. “But also being closer to a bigger city for all the work that we do and also being closer to Europe because my parents live out there.”

After moving, Nara shared a glimpse of their new home in another video on her TikTok. “This year has been filled with blessings and I’m bursting with gratitude! 🤍alsoooo any tips on surviving the Connecticut winter?” she captioned the December post with clips of Lucky and her children in the house and walking around in the snow.

“I don’t know what I’m doing,” Nara said. “Both me and my husband are on our own journeys and figuring out how we want to raise our kids.”
