Netflix Releases Trailer for Prince Harry’s POLO: See the Drama Unfold! (Exclusive)
The first look of Prince Harry’s latest Netflix docuseries is here — and PEOPLE has an exclusive first look at the trailer.
On Dec. 10, the streaming service will release POLO, produced by Archewell Productions, the production company Prince Harry shares with wife Meghan Markle, and Boardwalk Pictures. Both Harry, 40, and Meghan, 43, served as executive producers on the project.
The five-episode docuseries takes a behind-the-scenes look at the fast-paced and glamorous world of polo, following elite global players as they compete in the U.S. Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida.
“This series offers audiences an unprecedented, behind-the-scenes look into the passion and determination driving some of the world’s elite polo players, revealing the grit behind the glamor,” Prince Harry said of the series. “We’re proud to showcase the true depth and spirit of the sport — and the intensity of its high-stakes moments.”
The show’s trailer says of playing the sport, “Imagine going on a horse at 35 miles an hour as someone is coming at you full speed.” A voiceover adds, “It’s the adrenaline that goes through your body — it’s addicting.”
“Polo is not just a sport,” a voiceover from the trailer says. “Polo is a lifestyle. We eat, we breathe, we sleep polo.”
The trailer shows the professional and personal lives of the show’s featured athletes, as polo is called “a sexy sport, too — dirty, sweaty boys riding.”
As the trailer ends, the words “For legacy. For courage. For glory” appear on the screen.
“Through fierce rivalries and intense training, viewers will get an unprecedented glimpse into the dedication and skill required to compete at the sport’s highest level,” Netflix said of the show. “From a young player pushed to his limits by his demanding father, to a former golfer who’s made significant sacrifices for the love of the sport, to the father-son duo widely regarded as the greatest players of all time – they all face intense personal and professional challenges as they vie for the coveted title.”
Athletes featured in the show include Nacho Figueras, a longtime friend of Prince Harry’s and a frequent polo player alongside the Duke of Sussex. The renowned polo player from Argentina is featured in POLO as an expert and is a consulting producer on the show.
“Prince Harry and I have talked about polo for years. The production company is incredible, and Netflix has a huge platform to reach the biggest hearts in the world. I am happy to be involved and think this is a great opportunity for the sport,” Figueras exclusively told PEOPLE in April about the show.
Also featured is Adolfo Cambiaso of Team Valiente, “widely regarded as one of the greatest polo players of all time,” according to Netflix. He is the father in the aforementioned father-son duo, and he and his 17-year-old son Poroto Cambiaso of Team La Dolfina face off against one another in the 2024 U.S. Open, their first high-goal final against each other on American soil.
Louis Devaleix of Team La Fe — who only started playing polo in 2020 at 38 years old — is also featured in the series, as is his marriage to U.S. Open champion polo player Pamela Flanagan Devaleix, who is expecting their first child together throughout the course of the series (and who is featured in the POLO trailer).
Timmy Dutta of Team Dutta Corp is also featured in the trailer, specifically the storyline surrounding his father Big Tim Dutta, who is the team owner of Timmy’s team — and who shows his son tough love. Finally, Keko Magrini of Team Coca-Cola joins Poroto and Timmy in representing “the new generation of the sport,” according to Netflix, “bringing sharper skills and more fearless risk-taking to each match.”

POLO follows Netflix offerings from Harry and Meghan including 2022’s six-part Harry & Meghan docuseries; 2022’s Live to Lead; and 2023’s Heart of Invictus, about Harry’s Invictus Games. It precedes an as-of-yet-untitled offering from Meghan that will see her “celebrate the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining and friendship.”
