New Kids on the Block’s Joey McIntyre to Star in CineVita’s Tinselcolor: Holiday Soundtracks LIVE

There will be a new kid on the CineVita block this holiday season.

New Kids on the Block star Joey McIntyre has been tapped to headline Tinselcolor: Holiday Soundtracks LIVE, a new concert event presented by For the Record and spotlighting beloved holiday films.

The wold premiere production will be housed inside CineVita, the world’s largest Belgian Spiegeltent, located at Hollywood Park next to SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. Performances for the all ages show run Dec. 2-30. The live concert will feature McIntyre alongside 22 performers including an eight-piece band as they reimagine music from more than 25 classic holiday soundtracks like Home Alone, Elf, Love, Actually, The Polar Express, White Christmas and more.

“I’ve always admired the high caliber of talent and entertainment that For The Record brings to the stage,” McIntyre said in a statement. “The moment I stepped into CineVita, I knew I had to be part of their next production. When they told me about their brand-new holiday spectacular, Tinselcolor, I asked them on the spot if they needed a host. And here we are.”

Said For the Record co-founder and producer Shane Scheel: “With Tinselcolor, we wanted to create something that feels like the ultimate holiday mixtape — a live concert experience inspired by the movies we all grew up with. It’s musical, cinematic in spirit, and joyfully over-the-top — the kind of night out that reminds you why you love both Hollywood and the holidays.”

McIntyre has been dipping his toes in the holiday space, starring in Roku’s holiday film Jingle Bell Love alongside Michelle Morgan with a sequel, Jingle Bell Wedding, to premiere this holiday season. he also released a holiday duet with Shoshana Bean, “A Brand New Christmas.” He’s reuniting with his NKOTB gang for The Right Stuff, a limited residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas in November. He previously graced the stage in Wicked, Waitress, Drag: The Musical and more.
