Rebecca Ferguson Holds Harsh Truth of Outside World in ‘Silo’ Season 2 Trailer
Rebecca Ferguson‘s Juliette Nichols is out to unravel a web of lies about a toxic and deadly world that threatens the last people living on Earth in the trailer for season two of Apple TV+’s Silo.
The first season of the epic sci-fi series, created by Graham Yost, focused on the last 10,000 people on the planet, trying to stay safe in their titular mile-deep home underneath a desolate world outside. However, no one knew when or why the silo was built, and those who sought answers died.
The trailer for season two sees Juliette, having survived exploring the uninhabitable ruins of Earth outside of the silo, try to return with harsh news about her underground world’s existence that threatens their head of IT, Bernard Holland (Tim Robbins).
She’s on a mission to share the truth about their dystopian world where the ultimate crime is overturning the status quo and unleashing a rebellion. “I need to know what happened here. For my friend, my family,” she pleads at one point in the trailer, after Bernard has already told the underground community housing the last people on Earth that she died a hero.
“I’m not afraid of the rebellion. I’m more afraid of what she saw,” Bernard says.
Meanwhile, Juliette – as she struggles to survive outside the silo – fights to make her way back home and reveal that other silos exist in what everyone had assumed was a desolate wasteland above. This fact allows Juliette to answer a mystery that goes way beyond anything she imagined when first leaving the silo to answer why a loved one had been murdered.
The ensemble cast for the second season of Silo includes Common, Harriet Walter and new addition Steve Zahn. The 10-episode sophomore season will launch globally on Nov. 15 on Apple TV+ with the first episode, followed by one new episode every Friday through Jan. 17, 2025.
Silo is produced by Apple Studios and is executive produced by Yost, Michael Dinner, Nina Jack, Joanna Thapa, Ferguson, Morten Tyldum, Howey, Fred Golan, Rémi Aubuchon and AMC Studios.
