Ree Drummond Shares Timeline for Daughter Paige’s Upcoming Nuptials: ‘Wedding Season is Getting Closer’

Ree Drummond reveals that the countdown is on for her daughter Paige Drummond’s nuptials!

The Pioneer Woman star, 56, shared in a new blog post on her website that her 25-year-old daughter and her fiancé David Andersen had just two more months before they became man and wife.

“I’m starting to get so excited about the wedding! At the same time, I’m glad the wedding is still two months away, haha,” Ree wrote. “I’ve gotta get on that rowing machine, man.” 

The Food Network star also joked that she had to kick her fitness into gear since “wedding season was getting closer” and she wanted to slim down a bit more to fit into her mother-of-the-bride dress. She wrote, “I know Paige has a few details going on, but at this point my main goal is to be able to zip my dress. 😂 Kidding not kidding.”

Paige and David recently celebrated with a wedding shower — held on Saturday, March 8 — which was attended by several of the pair’s closest friends and family and hosted by three of Ree’s closest friends. 

Ree shared several photos of the event on her blog, including a snap of the soon-to-be married couple with her husband Ladd Drummond and their other children Alex, 27, and Bryce, 22. Paige and David also took some photos with Alex’s daughter Sofia — whom she welcomed with husband Mauricio Scott on Dec. 18.

Following the wedding shower, Ree wrote on her blog that she felt “hungover — not from alcoholic beverages, but from the sheer love and romance of it all.” She added, “The food was amazing, the company was fun, and Baby Sofia was there to celebrate her aunt… even though she didn’t quite know it yet.”

Paige also shared photos from the celebration on her Instagram showing herself and Andersen posing with family and friends. She captioned the photos, writing in part, “What a blessing it is to go through this wedding season with the love of my life 🤍🥹 so thankful for everyone with us along the way!”

Paige announced her engagement on Instagram in August 2024, sharing a series of photos of the proposal, which appeared to take place by a pond. “I get to marry the love of my life! How is this real??” she wrote at the time. “God’s greatest gift to me and my person forever. I love you, David Andersen! I can’t wait to be your wife!!! 🤍🕊️🫶🏼☺️.”

Weeks later, she shared a post featuring photos from a sunset couple’s photo shoot with Andersen and revealed her wedding month. “May can’t come soon enough! Forever and ever, honey!” she captioned the post.

Paige offered more details about how the couple’s love story unfolded in an entry on her mom’s blog on Feb. 28, revealing that the pair befriended each other in college through mutual friends and began dating in July 2023, a year after Paige graduated.

Andersen met Paige’s family for the first time in the fall of 2023 when they stayed at the Drummond’s ranch in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, while in town for a concert. By Christmas that year, Ree made it known that Andersen was part of the Drummond crew by including him in the family tradition of matching pajamas for the holiday.
