Paige Drummond and her husband David Andersen closed out their spring wedding in true Oklahoma style!

The newlyweds, who tied the knot on May 17 at Paige’s family ranch, hosted a cowboy-inspired afterparty following their reception. Paige’s mother, Ree Drummond, shared photos and details of the festive bash in a new post on her Pioneer Woman blog on Wednesday, June 4.

According to the post, Paige, David and their guests continued the celebration late into the night at Ree’s P-Town Pizza in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. A photo shows a large cowboy boot-shaped sign outside the restaurant with the message: “Paige & David are married! Let’s party!” The sign also featured an illustration of a disco ball topped with a cowboy hat, a nod to the party’s “disco rodeo” theme.

“Mirror-covered cacti and hot pink ‘tumbleweed’ decorated the room, along with colorful lighting and metallic streamers. DJ Oogo from LionsRoad DJ’ed the party, and behind the booth was a backdrop with a cowboy lassoing a sign with the couple’s new shared last name: ‘The Andersens,’ ” per the blog post.

Guests were given sparkly, light-up cowboy hats to wear, and invited to play a game of finding their “cowboy name” by using their name and birthday. Paige’s cowboy name? “Clinton Trigger Hewitt.”

For the casual occasion, Paige, 25, swapped her Lela Rose strapless wedding gown for a simple white minidress, paired with off-white cowboy boots decorated with purple and blue flower motifs. “Everyone was on the dance floor, so it was nice to have something more comfortable for that,” Paige said, per the post.

She accessorized with her wedding jewelry from the ceremony, including diamond dangle earrings and a sapphire ring from her late grandmother Nan, representing her “something blue.”

In various photos, Paige and David can be seen digging into some pizza, posing with drinks on the black-and-white checkered dance floor and mingling with friends.

In a Pioneer Woman blog update shared just two days after the wedding, the couple revealed all the special details about their big day. Paige noted how she couldn’t have imagined saying “I do” anywhere else than her family’s sprawling ranch, with the stunning prairie scenery as a backdrop. “It’s truly one of the prettiest places, and it’s so close to my heart,” she said.

She went on to share that she worked closely with mom Ree, 56, to bring her wedding vision to life — with help from planner Allison Butcher with Keely Thorne Events — looking to elder sister Alex’s nuptials, which took place on the property in 2021, as a guide.

“It’s nice to have somebody there who has similar taste,” Paige said of her mom, noting how Ree encouraged her to not waste time setting a date. “We literally got the wedding date figured out the day after I got engaged, which is hilarious.”

Per the blog post, Paige recalled that her dress was one of the first details to be finalized. She found “the perfect” Lela Rose dress, which even had a nod to Ree’s wedding gown from 1996 with its drop-waist silhouette. “It’s the dress of my dreams,” Paige said, adding that she and David decided to forego a first look to maintain that element of surprise.

“I wanted to have that big moment of seeing him and him seeing me when I walked down the aisle,” she explained. “I wanted it to be really special and emotional.”

The couple exchanged vows outside in front of a large wooden cross adorned with cascading flowers. Following the ceremony, they celebrated at a reception held in a “magical, built-from-scratch” all-glass greenhouse on the ranch. They had a towering, nine-tier white wedding cake with raspberry filling from Amy’s Cakes, along with a pickup truck-shaped chocolate groom’s cake for David.

Paige and David later took to the monogrammed ballroom floor to share their first dance to “Joy of My Life” by Chris Stapleton. Paige also did a father-daughter dance with her dad, Ladd Drummond, to “That Girl Is a Cowboy” by Garth Brooks.

Ree shared several posts on her Instagram page featuring various highlights from the wedding while reflecting on the emotional occasion. “What a joyous day! Love is beautiful,” she wrote in one post. “So happy for Paige and David! 🥂.”

In another, she said, “So grateful for everyone who worked so hard to help make this greenhouse party on the prairie happen, and for loved ones who traveled from far away (or down the road!) to celebrate with us.❤️ Thank you God for bringing Paige and David together! A miraculous match.”
