Rupert Grint Returns as Ed Sheeran’s Obsessed Fan in “A Little More” Music Video

Ed Sheeran has released a new music video, which stars Rupert Grint — again.
On Thursday night, Sheeran dropped the music video for “A Little More,” starring the Harry Potter alum 14 years after he appeared in Sheeran’s “Lego House” music video. And as he did in “Lego House,” Grint plays the same Sheeran-obsessed fan.
This time around, Grint’s character can’t stop seeing Sheeran everywhere he goes, including on billboards, at the gym, on TV and in a movie. But as he’s at the altar, and about to be married, the bride turns into Sheeran.
The lyrics to “A Little More” are as follows: “I used to love you, now every day I hate you just a little more / Life got better when I lost you, but every day I hate you just a little more and more and more / Blame it on your history and say it’s not your fault / I can’t call you crazy ’cause you could be diagnosed.”
After the video released, Sheeran posted a clip to Instagram, with a caption thanking Grint for being a part of it.
“I hadn’t worked with @rupertgrint in 14 years since Lego house, so didn’t know if he’d say yes to this idea. But I’m so glad he did. It’s such a fun, bonkers video. Longest video shoot I had ever done at that time, and deffo the most costume changes,” he wrote. “Rupert, my brother from another mother, thank you for throwing yourself into this, it wouldn’t exist had you said no.”
Friday morning, the Grammy winner made another post to thank his fans for their reaction to the song. He also encouraged them to make videos with the song targeted to their exes.
“Overwhelming response to this song and video. Releasing something this personal always feels really bare and open, but I always find the deeper and more honest I go with lyrics, the more people connect to it. Also, who knew I looked so amazing in a wedding dress,” Sheeran wrote. “The sound is up now if you wanna start making videos directed to your exes with the song, I wanna see em all, get creative gang.”
Sheeran’s eighth studio album, Play, which features “A Little More,” is set to release Sept. 12.
