Savannah Guthrie Posts New Video Saying Family Will “Never Give Up On” Missing Mom as Investigators Chase New Leads

As the search for Savannah Guthrie‘s missing mom, Nancy, enters its 12th day, the younger Guthrie is once again taking to social media to keep hope alive in the search for the 84-year-old who is believed to have been abducted.

Along with brief clips from home movies and an older photo, Savannah Guthrie wrote on Instagram, “Our lovely mom. We will never give up on her. Thank you for your prayers and hope.”

After the FBI released photos and video footage of a possible suspect in the Nancy Guthrie case on Tuesday and detained someone for questioning, that person was released Wednesday morning. Since then there have been few updates in the case.

But Tucson NBC affiliate KVOA reported on two small updates in the case overnight, with NBC’s Today show sharing those with a wider audience Thursday morning in the morning show’s daily update on the search for Nancy Guthrie.

Investigators are now searching a pair of black gloves for DNA, KVOA reported, with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department later confirming investigators recovered a pair of gloves that are being “submitted for analysis” like “all viable evidence.” And, the affiliate adds, neighbors with Ring doorbell cameras are being told investigators are requesting footage from Jan. 11 between 9 p.m. and midnight, more than three weeks before Nancy Guthrie went missing. Additionally there’s interest in footage from Jan. 31 between 9:30 and 11 a.m. local time as there was a suspicious vehicle in the area around 10 a.m.

The Pima Country Sheriff’s Department revealed Thursday that investigators are requesting all video footage from people within a two-mile radius of Nancy Guthrie’s residence from Jan. 1-Feb. 2, including vehicles, vehicle traffic, people/pedestrians and “anything neighbors deem out of the ordinary or important to our investigation.”

Nancy Guthrie was reported missing on Sunday, Feb. 1 after she didn’t show up at a friend’s house to watch a livestream of church service from Savannah Guthrie’s New York church. A day later, local authorities said they believed she was abducted.

In the more than a week since she disappeared, Savannah Guthrie and her siblings have released multiple video messages pleading for their mother’s return with at least one saying that they’d received a message from the alleged kidnapper and were willing to pay to bring her home.

Feb. 12, 11:27 a.m. Updated with additional details from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department on the gloves and video footage requested.
