Scott Speedman and Fiancée Lindsay Rae Hofmann Welcome Second Baby, a Boy: ‘Our Hearts Have Burst Right Open’
Scott Speedman and his fiancée Lindsay Rae Hofmann have welcomed a new addition to their family!
On Wednesday, Sept. 25, Hofmann shared a post on Instagram, in which she announced that she gave birth to the couple’s second baby – a boy named Indy – earlier this month.
“Our beautiful boy is here,” she captioned the post, which was accompanied by black and white family snaps.
“Our hearts have burst right open and we’ve fallen madly in love. You came fast and furious the day after your daddy’s birthday and on your official due date—September 2nd at 7:12 am at a surprising 8lbs. We love you Indy bug, it was always you 🐞,” Hofmann continued.
Speedman, 49, and Hofmann are also parents to daughter Pfeiffer Lucia, 2.
The first photograph featured in Hofmann’s social media post showed Indy taking a nap. The carousel continued with a snap of Pfeiffer kissing her new sibling.
A sweet photo of the mother of two cradling Indy with Speedman as they both smiled at each other was next, followed by another snap of Hofmann, Pfeiffer and Indy, plus, a second close-up of the newborn.
One last photo showed Pfeiffer and Indy lying next to each other on a floor.
Hofmann announced her pregnancy in March. At the time, she shared a black and white photo of her holding Pfeiffer with her baby bump on display. “New le bébé coming soon…,” she wrote in the caption.
Speedman and the swimwear designer went public with their relationship in 2017 before becoming engaged in June 2023. The Canadian actor popped the question during a nature walk.
Ahead of the birth of their first child in October 2021, Speedman opened up to PEOPLE in an exclusive interview about becoming a father. “I’m aware that I don’t have to do the heavy lifting, so I’m a coach and support team for my girl. We’re just trying to get everything ready,” he said.
Speedman has been an on-and-off presence on the ABC hit medical drama Grey’s Anatomy since his buzzy appearance in a 2018 episode. According to Deadline, he is set to star in a few episodes for Season 21, which kicked off to a dramatic start on Thursday, Sept. 26.
