Shia LaBeouf Arrested After Alleged Fight in New Orleans During Mardi Gras

Shia LaBeouf‘s Mardi Gras bar crawl has come to an unfortunate end.
The actor was arrested shortly after midnight Tuesday in New Orleans after he allegedly fought with two men, who told police he assaulted them.
According to the New Orleans Police Department, LaBeouf was allegedly causing a disturbance and becoming increasingly aggressive at a business, which TMZ reported was a bar, on Royal Street.
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that the incident took place at R Bar in the Faubourg Marigny, where on Monday evenings you can get a haircut and a shot for $20.
A staff member attempted to eject LaBeouf from R Bar, but after he was removed from the building, LaBeouf allegedly hit one man several times with closed fists.
He then, according to the police report, left but came back, allegedly acting more aggressive.
After multiple people attempted to hold him down, LaBeouf was let up, the police report states, “in hopes that he would leave,” but he then allegedly resumed hitting the same man who he allegedly punched earlier.
He then allegedly punched another person in the nose and was held down until the police arrived.
LaBeouf was taken to a hospital for unknown injuries and then arrested and charged with two counts of simple battery.
The arrest comes after LaBeouf, who recently claimed to be sober and blamed past abusive behavior on alcoholism, went on an extended-weekend bar crawl during Mardi Gras in New Orleans’ Uptown neighborhood, according to employees of various drinking establishments.
He showed up at 24/7 bar Ms Mae’s, around the time the Bacchus super-krewe parade rolled up St. Charles Avenue with thousands of revelers, in what the establishment’s doorman said was an “inebriated” state and “somewhat belligerent.” He was also without cash or a shirt, putting the latter back on when he was told he had to. He had visited the same establishment on Thursday. But on Sunday, the doorman said, “He did the ‘Do you know who I am?’ bit” and begrudingly left without incident after he attempted to “be a celebrity bartender” and was asked to leave.
Another bartender, who waited on him last Thursday, said, “He is terrorizing the city!” He was spotted at at least two other bars in the city and was telling people he was staying at a luxury Airbnb.
