‘Survivor’ Coming to ‘Words with Friends’ and More Games for Season 50

Survivor is betting that its audience will want to partake in some games themselves for season 50, with the CBS show coming to mobile gaming as part of the promotion for the season.
The gaming company Zynga has partnered with CBS to integrate Survivor into some of its bigger titles, beginning with Words With Friends, Zynga Poker and Two Dots. Later in the season, which bows Feb. 25, FarmVille 3 and Dragon City will also be brought into the proceedings.
Among the integrations will be a Words with Friends tie-in that includes a Word of the Day and Word Search inspired by Survivor. On Zynga Poker, there will be events in which players can unlock limited edition watches. Farmville 3 will have Survivor-inspired fishing events and fan favorite tribe moments.
“As longtime fans of the show, we’re honored to be part of this landmark anniversary,” said Yaron Leyvand, executive vice president, Mobile Studios, Zynga.
Added Paramount Television’s president and chief marketing officer Mike Benson: “By bringing the spirit of SURVIVOR into five Zynga titles, we’re creating new ways for fans to outwit, outplay, and outlast the competition, all while connecting with fellow viewers as they light their torch throughout the season.”
Season 50 includes players from the show’s 26 year history and brings contestants to Fiji. Among the players are White Lotus creator Mike White.
