The Hollywood Reporter Most Powerful Women in Entertainment 2025

There is no shortage of impressive women who run TV at The Walt Disney Co. But to list all of their titles above, well, it would break our spirit. So let’s just talk accomplishments. Burke, the 20th TV president, has more than 50 series in various stages of production, including the hits Nobody Wants This, Only Murders in the Building and High Potential. FX Entertainment president Balian delivered Alien: Earth, the critical favorite Dying for Sex and, of course, more of The Bear. Davis, president of Disney branded content, has more of Percy Jackson and the Olympians premiering Dec. 10 after a year that saw the Descendants and Zombies franchises release new films and go on a live tour. Onyx Collective’s Duncan dropped the Questlove-produced doc Sly Lives!, the comedy Deli Boys and more of the Hulu drama Reasonable Doubt. Monroe, still courting celebrities to National Geographic, lured Stanley Tucci over with Tucci in Italy and earned a record 46 news and doc Emmy nominations. And Sethi, with Hulu originals, ABC Entertainment and Freeform (still a thing!) in her stable, launched the Tim Allen comedy Shifting Gears on ABC and the Hulu stand-up hub Hularious, with specials from Jim Gaffigan, Roy Wood Jr., Bill Burr and more.
My first Hollywood job entailed …
BURKE “Secretary to Jamie Tarses and Leslie Lurie, two incredible mentors.”
BALIAN “Sadly, it was organizing headshots by hair color.”
I’d most like to set a lunch with …
MONROE “Tina Brown.”
SETHI “Real Housewife of Salt Lake City Heather Gay. This week, she’s drunk on a yacht on Bravo and opining about institutionalized faith on This American Life. She’s everything.”
A 2025 project (I didn’t work on) that deserves more attention
DUNCAN “The Perfect Neighbor.”
