The Taylor Swift-Themed Christmas House Is Back with TTPD-Inspired Decorations and Nod to Travis Kelce’s Eras Tour Debut
“Merry Swiftmas!”
The Illinois home covered in Taylor Swift-themed Christmas decorations has returned for the holidays — and its even better than last year.
Couple Amy and Ryan Scott from Naperville have unveiled their decorated home inspired by Swift, 34, for the second year running, and this time the Scotts’ home — which has been dubbed “The Christmas House (Taylor’s Version)” in reference to the titles of Swift’s re-recorded albums — has been redesigned to include nods to Reputation, Folklore and The Tortured Poets Department.
In a video of the home posted by reporter Bryan West on TikTok, the house is seen covered with even more Christmas lights than the year before, along with a giant image of Swift in concert displayed on the outside.
Several decorations referencing Swift’s albums appear on the front lawn, including a large model of a typewriter, referring to TTPD, a dog-shaped figure with “The Black Dog” written on it in a nod to Swift’s song from the album and a cutout of the number seven featuring the lyrics from Swift’s song “Seven” from Folklore.
A piece of paper coming out of the typewriter reads, “May you have a holiday season filled with joy, peace, and love. The Scott Family,” while the album’s logo features in the bottom left corner.
Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, once again makes an appearance on the roof of the home, but this time it’s a cardboard cutout of him in a tuxedo from when he joined Swift on stage at her Eras Tour show in London back in June. A purple neon light sign saying, “(taylor’s version),” has been placed above him.
At the front of the house, two trees are decorated with giant friendship bracelets with “Peace,” “Love,” “Joy” and “Merry Xmas” written across the front — in reference to the bracelets which have become a staple fashion accessory among Swift fans at her shows and were inspired by her Midnights track “You’re on Your Own Kid.”
Other decorations include a Reputation logo sign and a replica of the moss-covered cabin that features in the Folklore era of Swift’s tour.
Amy and Ryan previously shared that they were inspired to decorate their home in dedication to Swift after watching the singer’s 2023 The Eras Tour concert film.
“I walked out of [the Eras Tour concert film] saying two things. Number one: ‘I want bangs,’ and number two: ‘We can do this for our lights display,’ ” Amy told CNN in 2023.
The Scotts last showcased their Swift-themed Christmas home in videos posted on their TikTok account @tswifthouse in December 2023.
“Can you tell we love Taylor?! Come see our lights in Naperville, IL!” Amy and Ryan wrote in the caption. “Come stop by if you haven’t already!! MERRY SWIFTMAS,” they added in another clip.
