Tomorrowland Main Stage “Severely Damaged” After Catching Fire, Festival Set to Continue

The 2025 Tomorrowland main stage went ablaze Wednesday, suffering serious damages, though the electronic music festival has not been canceled and will resume normal programming.
A day before Tomorrowland was set to kick off on Thursday, videos of the fest’s main stage engulfed by flames began circulating online. The festival’s official website and Instagram released an official statement confirming the “serious incident and fire,” adding that the event’s “beloved Mainstage has been severely damaged.”
Despite the damages, Tomorrowland, which is held in Belgium, additionally confirmed that no one was hurt by the fire and that the festival was planning to open its doors on Thursday as previously planned.
“We can announce that, DreamVille (campsite) will open tomorrow (Thursday, July 17) as planned and will be ready for all DreamVille visitors. All Global Journey activities in Brussels and Antwerp will take place as planned,” they wrote. “We are focused on finding solutions for the festival weekend (Friday – Saturday – Sunday).”
The post concluded, “More updates and detailed information will be communicated as soon as possible.”
Tomorrowland is scheduled to feature a few acts on its opening day, Thursday, with a full schedule of EDM acts set to perform through Sunday. Notably, this week was only the first week of the fest, with the second week set to commence on July 24 and end on July 27.
