Travis and Jason Kelce Poke Fun at Taylor Swift’s Pal Blake Lively as They Review Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

Travis and Jason Kelce are not holding back!

Speaking on the New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast’s New Heights Film Club, released Wednesday, Oct. 16, the brothers reviewed The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, which follows four best friends as they pass around a pair of jeans to stay connected during a summer apart.

While the movie — which features Travis’ girlfriend Taylor Swift’s close friend Blake Lively, as well America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn and Alexis Bledel, in the core cast — first gained positive comments from the Kelce brothers, the duo weren’t shy about stating their questions.

Speaking about Lively’s character Bridget Vreeland in the 2005 film, the podcast hosts agreed that the actress “killed it” in her big film debut.

“She did absolutely wonderful as Bridget,” said Jason, 36, before Travis, 35, added, “Might have been a little biased, but I thought Bridget’s story was the most relatable and most fun.”

However, the former professional athlete went on to poke a little fun at Bridget’s stride after she attended a soccer camp during the summer.

“A lot of the movie is just Bridget running,” Jason said. “I gotta admit, not the best run. Blake, I love you, it does not strike me as a star athlete run.”

“But it was impressive,” Travis said. “She has good endurance, though, because running like that and to be talking? I would be f—ing gassed and would be way worse at trying to spit my lines out.”

“I agree, very impressive,” Jason said, adding as he and his brother fell into laughter, “She runs so far she ends up in a soccer camp in Mexico.”

Jason did state he was impressed by the movie’s level of acting.

“Not a bad film,” he began. “It’s hard to relate, but I think for a movie in this age range, the surprising level of acting [was] well done. Blake Lively; America Ferrera killed it as Carmen. Alexis Bledel and Amber Tamblyn.”

“So yeah, I thought it was an interesting movie, a coming-of-age story that kept my attention enough,” Jason added.

However, the former Philadelphia Eagles center did reveal he was a little bit disappointed that the pants didn’t have much to do with the storyline.

“I didn’t feel like they did a damn thing,” Jason said, before stating that his wife Kylie Kelce explained it was a symbol of the bond between the friends. “I wanted the pants to be more of a major part, I wanted them to actually have magic.”
