‘Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black’: Taylor Polidore Williams Sharpens Her Knives in Season 2 Part 2 Trailer

Taylor Polidore Williams as Kimmie, the Chicago exotic dancer-turned-cosmetics empire owner, learns the only way to battle a backstabbing family is to go for the jugular in the season two, part two trailer for Netflix’s Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black.
“They’re doing everything they can to cut each other’s throats. Including mine,” Kimmie says at one point in the trailer that dropped Thursday as shots of embattled Bellarie family characters — including Mallory (Crystal Stewart) and family patriarch Horace (Rico Ross), to whom she is now married — flash by on the screen.
For Kimmie, now calling the shots for a dysfunctional family business threatens new knife fights, a showdown with Mallory and the little matter of ranch hand Glen being pushed off a balcony to the edge of his life at the climax of season two, part one.
“If he dies, they’ll be no place for you to hide,” Glen’s father, Jules, played by Charles Malik Whitfield, warns Kimmie in the new teaser trailer, while Olivia, Horace’s ex-wife played by Debbi Morgan, apparently sees her plot to take down Kimmie backfire with frightening consequences.
The back half of season two kicks off March 19 on Netflix, with the ensemble cast including Amber Reign Smith, Xavier Smalls, Julian Horton, Steven G. Norfleet, Richard Lawson, Terrell Carter and Bryan Tanaka. Also guest starring is Bailey Tippen, Randall J. Bacon, Greg Clarkson, Ace Small, George Middlebrook, Kajanee Smith, Philemon Chambers, Aria Celeste Castillo, Rodrigo Aburto, Jasmine Burke and Phylicía Lloyd.
Tyler Perry created, wrote, directs and executive produces season two, part two, while Angi Bones and Tony Strickland produces for Tyler Perry Studios.
