Wet Leg Announce ‘Moisturizer,’ First Album in Three Years

British indie rock band Wet Leg is finally back as the band announced their sophomore album Moisturizer on Tuesday, set to release on July 11th.
The Isle of White band, fronted by Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers and signed to Domino Records, also released the album’s first single “Catch These Fists” along with an accompanying music video.
Moisturizer will come out over three years after the group released their eponymous first album Wet Leg back in 2022. The album and its lead single “Chaise Longue” were widely acclaimed, putting the band on the map as one of the most exciting upcoming acts in the industry. They took home two Grammy Awards back in 2023 for best alternative music album and best alternative music performance. They were also nominated for best new artist.
As the band said in its announcement, the new album features “love songs of every stripe: stressed-out, gooey-eyed, gratuitously horny, blissed out, obsessive and mysterious.”
“We were just kind of having fun and exploring,” Chambers said of the new album in a statement.
As Teasdale said: We focussed on: Is this going to be fun to play live? It was very natural that we would write the second record together.”
With the album announced, Wet Leg will be taking Moisturizer on the road too, playing concerts and festival dates across Europe this summer. Tickets for their U.K. will go on pre-sale April 9, and on general sale April 11. They played an intimate show in Brooklyn Monday night, and they’ll play another in Los Angeles on April 8.
