A new true crime drama is about to hit streaming. Based on what’s commonly referred to as the “Murdaugh murders,” Murdaugh: Death in the Family follows the double homicide of a mother and son from a wealthy, wildly powerful South Carolina family. But, as the eight-part miniseries will unpack, it’s way more complicated than that, as these are not the first murders tied to the Murdaughs.
Inspired by the popular Murdaugh Murders Podcast by Mandy Matney (played in the series by Brittany Snow), the eight-parter stars Jason Clarke as Alex Murdaugh and Patricia Arquette as Maggie Murdaugh alongside Johnny Berchtold, Will Harrison, J. Smith-Cameron, Gerald McRaney and Noah Emmerich.
