World War II Monster Story ‘Kyojin’ Tops Script2Comic Contest

Kyojin, a World War II story that teams American and Japanese soldiers against a race of subterranean giants, has taken the top prize at this year’s Script2Comic Contest. The contest gives screenwriters the chance to turn their work into a comic book or graphic novel, with writers The Mul Brothers winning this year’s honors.

AMP Comics, which is behind titles such as Lovestruck and Lost Boy, will publish their work as a comic in the United States and also develop it for the screen.

“Every year, we’re amazed by the originality and ambition that comes through our submissions. The 2025 winners prove once again that bold voices and daring ideas are out there, waiting to reshape how audiences experience stories across comics, film, and television,” said AMP CEO and Script2Comic founder Don Handfield.
