Discovering the Future of Fashion: 6 Exciting Fall 2025 Runway Trends Spotted at Zara, H&M, and Mango

The fall/winter 2025 runway season has officially wrapped up, but our enthusiasm for its highlights is far from fading. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. Between the conclusion of the shows and the arrival of fall pieces in stores, there’s ample time for preparation, including crafting the much-anticipated list of ways to shop the season’s most talked-about trends. When fall arrives and the runway items hit the shelves, I wholeheartedly encourage you to make some thoughtful, impactful purchases. However, for now, as we get creative in reimagining our favorite moments from the shows in New York, Milan, and Paris, there’s no reason not to save a few dollars—especially since many of fall’s leading trends are already available at Zara, Mango, and H&M at surprisingly affordable prices. Below, you’ll find trends like plaid, funnel necks, and elevated slippers, all available for far less than you might expect in August and September. You’re welcome!

Plaid’s Prime
To be honest, I didn’t foresee plaid making such a comeback. While there were hints at The Row and Bottega Veneta, the print was ubiquitous during fashion month, emerging seemingly out of nowhere to potentially dethrone leopard print from its top spot. Designers like Kallmeyer, Calvin Klein, Bally, and Burberry embraced this outdoorsy pattern, revitalizing the once-dated print.

Funnel Frenzy
Over the last three seasons, no outerwear trend has reigned supreme quite like funnel-neck coats and jackets. What began with Phoebe Philo has now become a staple for every brand on the fashion-month calendar, from Victoria Beckham to Gucci to Chloé. The best part? Each brand has introduced its unique twist on the neckline, ensuring that funnel necks remain fresh and exciting.

Donning Dots
Another highly sought-after print this season is polka dots, showcased by Altuzarra, Moschino, Rokh, Fendi, and Isabel Marant. Delicate yet sophisticated, this print is poised for a significant revival in 2025—just wait and see.

Blue Shock
A vibrant array of bold colors made their presence known on the runways, sidelining pastels and most neutrals. Yet, one hue stood out above the rest: electric blue. From cerulean to turquoise, these striking blues captured the attention of brands like Alaïa, MM6 Maison Margiela, Tom Ford, Emilia Wickstead, Marni, and emerging talent Colleen Allen.

So ’90s
Surprise: the ’90s are back on the runway! With Calvin Klein’s return under the direction of new Creative Director Veronica Leoni, trends from this iconic era were always destined to resurface, and they certainly delivered. Skirt suits, wide-cut suiting, and relaxed outerwear reminiscent of one of fashion’s most beloved decades felt more relevant than ever this season.

Shop ’90s minimalism:

Slipper Supremacy
Slippers are taking center stage this season, captivating celebrities, social media, and the runway alike. In Milan, models at Alberta Ferretti glided through a beautifully lit setting in black and burgundy pairs, styled with silky slips and elegant outerwear. Satin, square-toe versions were paired with romantic, flowing gowns at Calvin Klein. Clearly, this footwear trend is here to stay, but don’t worry—you don’t need to invest $500+ in handmade leather slippers to get in on it.
