Bridal skin care tips for glowing, healthy skin
With wedding season around the corner, all brides and bridesmaids are looking for healthy glowing skin.
Here are a few things you can do:
Stick to basics
Cleanse, moisturize and protect. No need for any fancy skin care products. Any new product will take at least 4 weeks to show results. Use the ones that already suit you and be consistent with it.
Never forget your sunscreen
There is a lot of sun exposure during shopping, pre wedding photoshoots and outdoor events.Make sure to use a sunscreen of SPF 50 and PA 3+ or more. Reapplication is important. You can use stick sunscreen but reapplication over make up is always difficult. Your makeup will need to be touched up with either powder or concealer.
Clinic treatments
There are certain treatments that can be done at a dermatologist clinic for brightening the skin. You can opt for hydrafacial, IPL, Laser toning, light chemical peels, all under a dermatologist supervision for good results.
Don’t try new treatments 7 days before event
This includes waxing bleaching or any new skin care products. Do not try any chemical peels at home. A week is not enough time for damage control so don’t try any home remedies you haven’t done before.
Tips to follow for a healthy, glowing complexion
Remove make up properly
Use clean makeup applicators and remove make up properly. These are essential steps to reduce acne breakouts during events.
Apply a layer of moisturizer before using your foundation. Double cleanse and remove every bit of makeup before you go to bed no matter how tired you are.
Sheet masks for pre-event
Sheet masks with hyaluronic acid are a great way to give that moistures boost to your skin. It’s not magic but it will definitely help in plumping and hydrating the skin. You can use it before an event. There are great eye masks too available which help in de puffing and makes you look fresher.
Focus on your diet
Just application of products is not enough if you are ignoring your diet and overall health. Make sure to have a bowl of salad, 2 fresh fruits every day. Include nuts and seeds in your diet daily. Cut down on sugar and dairy and focus on taking a high protein diet.
