Pre-wedding skincare: Essential skincare and lifestyle habits for brides-to-be |
Think of wedding attire and the first thing brides-to-be will worry about is a hair and makeup artist, because this is the most cherished and celebrated milestone of your life. While makeup can enhance your look and photographs, the magic of that inner natural glow which comes from a consistent skincare routine and lifestyle habits is unbeatable! Starting your pre-wedding prep at least six months in advance gives you enough time to address specific skin concerns like acne, pigmentation, or dullness.
Here’s a detailed guide to achieve that natural glow and shine:
Two supplements I’ve seen great results with in my practice are:
Oral Hyaluronic acid, it helps amazingly with improvement of skin quality, texture, elasticity, plumpness, hydration, has to be taken at a dosage of 120 mg per day once daily for about 4 months to see results.
Oral Glutathione- taken daily in the morning, empty stomach along with vitamin C for better absorption and efficacy in the dosage of 250 mg to 500 mg per day for at least 6 to 8 months to see results. It is a master antioxidant and helps add glow and radiance to your skin.
In addition to supplements you can also add Exosome serum to your topical skincare routine. Exosomes are revolutionizing skincare science. They boost collagen production, reduce inflammation, and promote skin cell repair– All of which are crucial for maintaining glowing, bouncy, plump, dewy skin. They also help in reducing signs of skin aging like fine lines and wrinkles. Exosomes can be used both in your morning and evening routine.
Add clinical procedures to your routine:
PRP with microneedling. It helps boost skin elasticity and collagen, thereby giving you a tighter, fuller and smoother look. The sessions must start 8 months prior to your D day.
Laser hair reduction helps for unwanted facial hair growth or body hair reduction as well. The sessions must start 6 months prior to your wedding date.
Hydra facials, which must be started 3 months prior. You can take a session once in 2 to 4 weeks, and also a session can be taken just 4 to 6 days prior to your wedding. Helps with uneven skin tone and boosts skin glow.
Your skin reflects what you eat, so make your diet a vital part of your pre-wedding prep. Drink at least 2-3 liters of water daily to flush out toxins, and boost glow. Add antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables like berries, spinach, and sweet potatoes. Omega-3 fatty acids found in chia seeds, and walnuts can help maintain skin elasticity.

Blacklist these things from your routine:
Don’t try any drastic treatments or products right before the wedding month.
Avoid excessive sun exposure
Steer clear of alcohol and processed foods, as they can cause inflammation and breakouts.
Pay attention to physical and mental wellbeing: A healthy body and calm mind are key to glowing skin. Exercise boosts circulation for a natural glow, while stress-relief practices like meditation or journaling keep you balanced.
Quality sleep (7–8 hours) promotes cell renewal, reduces puffiness, and prevents dark circles—your ultimate glow hack!
P.S. Remember the magic lies in consistency and self-love because nothing shines brighter than a happy you walking down the aisle.
