We Like It, You’ll Love It—Three Fall Denim Looks Editors Are Already Wearing

If there’s anyone who has their finger on the pulse of what’s trending in the fashion world, it’s a fashion editor. I can’t remember what life was like before my fellow editors influenced my fashion finds with their thoughtfully curated picks. When I’m not scrolling through their stories and adding items to my mood board, I’m standing at their desks asking where they got their luxe looks from. To no one’s surprise, almost everyone tells me that AG is their go-to, especially now that the temperatures are cooling down. According to senior fashion editor Anneliese Henderson, “AG is a gold mine for someone who loves outfit staples,” and boy, do WWW editors love a good staple. With wearability, style, and comfort at the forefront, AG checks every box for even the pickiest editors. I enlisted three of my colleagues to each style an outfit with the brand’s new arrivals for fall, and they did not disappoint. If you want some outfit inspo for the upcoming season, just keep scrolling.

ANNA LAPLACA, SENIOR FASHION EDITOR

Anna’s fall style in three words: “Sleek. Minimalistic. Accessory-forward.”

Anna’s outfit inspiration: “I’m a jeans girl through and through, so obviously this outfit all started with a denim base: cuffed wide-leg jeans. The shape reminds me of a trouser, which makes it look far more polished than most jeans—something the darker wash certainly drives home. But these aren’t just any old wide-leg jeans. The wide cuff at the hem adds a special detail that makes them especially eye-catching and forward. From there, I opted for a streamlined black turtleneck top to balance out the jeans’ volume and accessorized with a metal buckle belt and a sculptural cuff bracelet—two trendier pieces that bring the whole look to life. In the fall, I basically live in low-heeled black boots, which proved to be the ideal match to my sleek, luxe outfit vibe.”

Anna’s hot take on fall fashion: “I may be a hater for saying this, but I feel strongly that if a luxurious outfit vibe is what you’re after, it’s best practice not to wear more than one big trend in your look. This helps keep things streamlined and directional. Every piece I’ve tried from AG manages to be elevated and deeply comfortable, which is no easy feat. I can shop the entire site top to bottom without doing too much digging because I trust that everything with the AG label will be up to my standards.”

ANNELIESE HENDERSON, SENIOR FASHION EDITOR

Anneliese’s fall style in three words: “Non-fussy. Elevated. Monochromatic.”

Anneliese’s outfit inspiration: “I’m all about denim on denim this year, so this pairing was a no-brainer for me. I already own a pair of the Deven jeans in a different wash, so I already knew that the fit would look good on me. They’re also ridiculously comfortable—like wear-on-a-plane comfortable. And I knew I wanted a jacket that was a little bit of a darker wash like the jeans. I chose something a bit more cropped so I could really show off the high waist of the pants, as well as my cute silver belt buckle. Suede is everything this season, so I opted for a pair of brown boots to bring in even more autumnal elements.”

Anneliese’s fall styling tip: “My mom always taught me that you don’t need expensive things to look expensive. Dressing luxe is all about how you style your pieces—making sure they fit correctly, choosing colors that look good on you, and picking out styles that flatter your features. Every piece that AG puts out is something I know I can keep in my closet forever.”

NATALIE GRAY HERDER, EDITOR, BRANDED CONTENT

Natalie’s fall style in three words: “Coastal. Comfortable. Cool.”

Natalie’s outfit inspiration: “A button-down with a pair of jeans is my uniform. I have too many iterations of these two pieces to count, but this specific combination from AG is my current favorite. I love the slight barrel curve and relaxed fit of these Hattie jeans, and the autumnal brown stripe in this oversize button-down. This outfit is a prime example of how I dress up denim to create a more luxe look. Styling jeans with a button-down, belt, and strappy heels can take this outfit from day to night.”

Where Natalie is wearing this look: “AG makes denim comfortable enough to wear on a cross-country flight (which is exactly what I did with these barrel jeans last week), but this is a quintessential look for a weekday dinner with friends. It’s an outfit I’d wear with flats to the office, and then change into kitten heels to dress it up. For me, having good style doesn’t mean sacrificing comfort—it’s about investing in polished, on-trend pieces like these from AG.”
