Savannah Guthrie’s Mother Reported Missing in Arizona

Today show host Savannah Guthrie‘s mother Nancy Guthrie has been confirmed to be missing by authorities in Arizona.
On Sunday, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department announced during a press conference that 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie was last seen in the Catalina Foothills area on Saturday night at approximately 9:45 p.m.
Local news station KOLD reports that Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said a family member reported her missing on Sunday, around noon. Nanos added that search and rescue teams have been out at Nancy Gutherie’s home, along with homicide teams and detectives. Foul play is not being ruled out at this time, he said.
Savannah Guthrie in a statement on behalf of her family wrote “I want to thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers and messages of support. Right now, our focus remains on the safe return of our dear mom. We thank law enforcement for their hard work on this case and encourage anyone with information to contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department at (520) 351-4900.”
Nancy Guthrie is 5-foot-5 and 150 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes and is described as having some physical ailments, but does not have cognitive issues, her family said, according to the sheriff.
Nancy Guthrie has appeared as a guest on Today in the past. In 2023, Savannah Guthrie spoke about her mom in a feature titled “Lessons Learned from Moms” and also paid tribute to her mom on the show on her 80th birthday in 2022.
