Hollywood Reporter Appoints Liz Culley and Debra Fink to Key Leadership Roles in Entertainment and Special Projects

Liz Culley has been promoted to senior vice president of sales and brand strategy, while Debra Fink has been appointed vice president of entertainment and special projects at The Hollywood Reporter.
In her new position, Culley will expand her responsibilities to include oversight of video, social media, and audio product development, in addition to her current focus on consumer sales and strategy. She will report to Lori O’Connor, the executive vice president and publisher.
“Liz is a dynamo,” O’Connor stated. “Her creativity and extensive experience across content, sales, and product provide her with a unique skill set to create and execute custom programs that bridge video and social platforms. She will be instrumental in driving THR’s digital-first growth and enhancing audience engagement.”
Culley has a career that spans more than 15 years in the entertainment and media industries. Before joining THR, she served as the executive director of FYC and entertainment sales at Condé Nast, where she developed advertising and partnership strategies for major studios, leveraging Condé Nast’s high-profile events such as The Met Gala, Vogue World, and The New Yorker Festival. She is recognized for enhancing Vanity Fair’s FYC experiential offerings by creating content that resonated with both audiences and advertisers, notably by bringing the awards podcast Little Gold Men to live audiences.
In her early career as a producer and journalist, Culley created a tailored digital-first series and concert series featuring top music and theatrical talent for media companies including MySpace, PopSugar, the San Francisco Chronicle, YouTube, the NBA, and X Games. Prior to her role at Condé Nast, she was a senior sales executive at Bustle Digital Group. Throughout her career, Culley has led teams focused on marketing, digital production, video, audio, and live streaming.
Fink, a seasoned executive, will see her role expanded to include collaboration with marketing and sales to develop integrated partnerships across THR’s trade initiatives and other special projects, alongside her existing sales responsibilities.
With nearly three decades in the industry, Fink recently held the position of managing director of entertainment at THR and has been a key player since its relaunch in 2010. A strategic and savvy sales leader, she brings a fresh perspective to help drive success for clients through new and innovative concepts across various platforms and branded content solutions.
Before joining THR, Debra was the executive vice president at Screen International, where she directed strategy, sales, and the implementation of Screen’s awards season franchise, turning it into a global success. During her tenure at Screen, she also led an international film industry mission to Beijing, hosted by the Chinese government, to explore co-production opportunities.
“Debra’s extensive industry knowledge and relationships are unparalleled,” O’Connor remarked. “I’m thrilled to have Debra take on this challenge and cannot wait to see what she brings to the role.”
Both Culley and Fink are based in Los Angeles.
