Noah Centineo Has New Friends (and Foes) in ‘The Recruit’ Season 2 First-Look Images
Noah Centineo is back as Owen Hendricks in Netflix‘s first-look images at The Recruit season two.
The next installment of the streamer’s spy drama picks up moments after the explosive season one finale, which saw Max (Laura Haddock) get shot by her daughter, Nichka (Maddie Hasson), after Owen spent most of it trying to protect the Belarusian CIA asset.
According to its description, season two will find Centineo’s CIA lawyer pulled into even more life-threatening espionage situations, this time in South Korea, only to find out that the bigger threat may be coming from inside the Agency.
“Owen’s headspace is complete chaos,” Centineo told Tudum about where his character is at going into season two. “He has just witnessed Max — the former CIA asset whom he almost died multiple times trying to protect — get shot by her daughter Nichka. Owen is wondering how in the hell he is going to survive the next few seconds of his life.”
Showrunner Alexi Hawley teased that Owen is immediately thrown into the deep end at the start of the next batch of episodes because that is where “he’s the most fun,” adding that a big part of the season will be the lawyer protecting his name and proving he’s good at his job.
“Owen rolls into this season basically screwed,” he continued. “Owen knows that if he does not walk away with a win this season, his career is going to be over. He might go to prison. Depending on what people are into, they can show up this season for the big, flashy, splashy action stuff, but they can also be on a journey with this guy who’s just trying to fix something that he broke.”
